The Sons of the American Legion Post 174 are committed to civic engagement, and this weekend they took that commitment to the State House!

A special thanks to State Representative Jay Kilmartin for the informative tour. It was a great opportunity for our members to learn more about how our state government works.

Hello Sons and extended Legion family!

The SAL-174 team is excited to announce our event for Q1, in coordination with our very own Son, Jay Kilmartin.

Next Saturday, Feb 15th, at 11am, the Sons of the American Legion will hold our regular 3rd Saturday meeting. *At the conclusion of the meeting, we will have a complementary lunch - but that's just the start!

At approx 12:30-1, we will depart for the SC Statehouse. On arrival, we will be provided a tour, offered by none other than State House Rep Jay Kilmartin!

Our next meeting is this Saturday (21 Sept) at 11:00.

This meeting is for regular meeting functions, to get coordinated for the Okra Strut, American Legion and SAL Fall Conference, and initial plans for Veterans Day.

Also the new membership cards for 2025 are on hand now. Pls pay your annual dues and get your new card for 2025.

We will be attending the state "sons" convention next weekend, on Saturday at 12, in lieu of our regular monthly meeting.

Details on the convention and a possible meeting the following weekend will be forthcoming.

SAL meetings are the 3rd Saturday of every month at 11am. All are welcome to attend if interested.

Only males, of any age, who's parents or grandparents are veterans may formally JOIN the Sons.
