The Boys and Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region fills a critical need. Building character through everyday leadership and guidance in behavior and attitude, our trained professional staff provide nationally recognized programs that help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports, and explore vocational choices.

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible team at Novo Nordisk for building and donating 9 brand-new bicycles to the Club! These awesome bikes are headed straight to our Power Hour Stores, where members earn points for working hard, completing their homework, and focusing on academic success. Talk about an incredible milestone incentive! 🙌📝

We also want to send a massive shoutout to Mike with PossibiliTeams Team Building Events & Activities! Mike coordinated this entire effort with the Club, bringing everyone together to make this wonderful donation a reality.

Shoutout to the amazing team at Coca-Cola! 🙌🎒

At their recent conference, Coca-Cola staff packed 200 Bodyarmor bags loaded with summer goodies for our summer camp kids! From fuel (granola bars & fruit snacks) to hydration (Dasani & Bodyarmor Lyte) and summer safety essentials (Simply hand sanitizer & sunglasses), our campers are fully equipped for a bright and active summer. 😎☀️🥤

We had a blast welcoming local children's author Echo Peyer to the club! 🌟

Echo brought storytelling to life with some awesome interactive fun. Our youth sharpened their teamwork skills with an active listening game, then let loose with some hilarious rounds of group charades! 🤫✨

Everyone walked away with cool prizes, like awesome stickers, just for jumping in and participating. 🎉

🌺❤️ HONORING HISTORY: A Special Visit from VFW Post 101! ❤️🌺

Our youth had a deeply meaningful afternoon learning about history, service, and remembrance, thanks to a very special visit from VFW Post 101!

The veterans came out to share the history behind the remembrance poppy—a symbol that dates back to the battlefields of World War I. Our members learned all about the different colors of poppies and the unique, important meanings behind each one.

To help keep that history close to their hearts, everyone got creative and crafted their very own poppy pendants! They also got to take home a traditional poppy pin to wear proudly in the community. 🎨✨

Thank you to the veterans at VFW Post 101 for taking the time to mentor our youth, share these important lessons, and prepare such a wonderful, hands-on craft. We are so grateful for your service and your dedication to the next generation!🤝

🌍✈️ GLOBAL ADVENTURES: A Visit from the Peace Corps! ✈️🌍

Our members took a journey across the globe without ever leaving the club, thanks to a fantastic cultural presentation from the Peace Corps!

This week, we put on our explorer hats and dove headfirst into the vibrant culture of Uganda. Our members had an amazing time expanding their horizons by exploring traditional Ugandan dance styles, studying beautiful art, and learning about daily life in East Africa.

But the absolute highlight of the day? Stepping into the kitchen to make Chapati bread from scratch! Everyone rolled up their sleeves, learned the traditional cooking process, and got to enjoy their delicious, warm treats at the end. 🧑‍🍳🫓

It was an incredible day of hands-on learning, cultural appreciation, and full bellies! A massive thank you to the Peace Corps volunteers for sharing their stories, passion, and delicious traditions with our youth. 🗺️❤️

🚀🦖Next stop, the USAFA Planetarium! 🦖🚀

Our members reached for the stars—and traveled back in time—during an unforgettable trip to the United States Air Force Academy Planetarium!

Instead of looking at the stars, we looked back millions of years for an awesome, immersive T-Rex show! Our crew got a front-row seat to the life of the King of the Dinosaurs, tracking their journey from tiny juveniles to massive apex predators, all the way to their ultimate extinction. We learned about the different types of T-Rexes that roamed the earth and even got to watch real paleontologists carefully unearth giant fossilized bones!

Here’s what our junior paleontologists had to say about the adventure:

🏛️✨ FIELD TRIP RECAP: Exploring Colorado Springs History! ✨🏛️

Our members had an incredible day diving into the past at the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum! From exploring historic homes to celebrating our city's milestone stories, everyone found something special to connect with.

We wandered through some amazing exhibits, including:
🏡 Helen Hunt Jackson’s home – stepping back into the life of the famous poet and activist.
🌆 COS @ 150 – looking at the objects and moments that shaped our city.
🤝 Una Familia Grande – learning about the deep-rooted history of the region's Latino community.
☀️ City of Sunshine – discovering how Colorado Springs became a famous destination for health and healing.

Here is what our members loved most about the trip:

Huge shoutout to the incredible team from EquipmentShare! 🙌

Yesterday, 9 amazing volunteers rolled up their sleeves and brought serious energy to our Tutt Club. In just one day, they tackled a massive to-do list to make our Club safer, brighter, and even more fun for our members.

Look at everything they accomplished:

🔧 Fun & Games: Replaced 2 tire swings, fixed the rigamajig cart, and tightened up the poly pong and foosball tables.

🛠️ Club Repairs: Fixed the STEM room projector screen, repaired stairway slip treads, installed a new garbage disposal, and patched up the boys' bathroom drywall.

✨ Facelift & Upgrades: Power-washed the front entrance and snack shack, replaced lights, installed gym wall bases, and raised our donor/partner banners!

🚚 Heavy Lifting: Replaced storage handles, stabilized our ceremonial blue door, and transported chairs to the EP Learning Center.

We are so grateful for partners like EquipmentShare who invest their time and talents directly into our kids' futures. Thank you for making the Tutt Club shine! ✨
