In late July, Susan assigned Trish and Carolyn their new CASA case. Trish and Carolyn come from very different backgrounds and have different areas of expertise. Now they are teaming up to advocate for a sibling group of four!

Thank you so much to the CO Springs Pioneers Museum for including CASA in its new “Freedom to Thrive” exhibit as part of the 250/150 commemoration. The exhibit is very cool as it examines opportunities and obstacles to freedom in our community. If you haven’t checked it out yet - Do It! It’s free to get in!

Here at CASA... we've got three new facilitators in our Supervised Exchange & Parenting Time (SEPT) program! Super grateful for these folks who will now enable kiddos to visit with their non-custodial parents in a safe and supervised setting. Thank you to everyone who works to strengthen families!

Leah Chapman is one of our newer and she came in today to do some back-to-school shopping for the 10-year-old girl on her case. And of course she met up with Case Supervisor extraordinaire Terry Dickman. What do y’all want to bet a 5th grade girl is going to love that new purple backpack?!

CASA is honored to be the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the Ute Pass Saddle Club. We were one of several nonprofits that received funds from this generous organization last week and we're so grateful to our partners who want to help change lives in Southern Colorado! All of this money will stay in Teller County as we carry out our mission above the clouds!

Hi everyone! I have been a CASA case supervisor for coming up on 2 years. I previously worked for another non-profit in the Springs. My favorite part of my job is working with so many amazing volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in a child's life. Fun facts about me: I lived in Kenya for two years, both my parents grew up on farms, so I have spent a lot of time in rural USA around tractors, and true to the farming heritage, I love to be in bed by 9:30pm.
