The Center for Arts-Inspired Learning ignites student learning, creativity, and success through the arts. OUR STORY
Since 1953, Center for Arts-Inspired Learning (formerly Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio) has served nearly 7 million students in 18 counties through arts education, and has reached even more through our advocacy efforts, professional development, and community programs.

We effectively create innovative learning experiences–closing learning gaps, teaching creative thinking and problem solving, and helping students succeed in school, in their first jobs, and beyond. We work with 85 professional teaching artists, experts in their fields, to tie to curricular connections and socio-emotional themes, helping children in Grades PreK-12 learn through and with the arts. Arts education is what we do, and it’s the one place where you can do it all—dance, theater, music, digital arts, visual arts, on-location performances, workshops, residencies, and professional development. Plus, our experienced Education Staff can help customize all of our arts-programming.

📣 At 1:15 pm there will be a special performance on the Rock Hall's stage from 3rd-12th grade participants in our Inspiration Through Music summer 2026 camp!

Our ITM Summer 2026 Camp participants had a great time at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame today! They enjoyed exploring the museum, trying out instruments, and spending the day immersed in music and creativity. 🎶

Now come see them take the stage! Join us this ✨Saturday, June 20, at the Rock Hall's Fam Jam ✨and catch our campers performing at 1:15 p.m. on their stage!

We'll also be hosting the 📣Play It Forward!® Cleveland Instrument Drive 📣at the Fam Jam from 10 a.m.–2 p.m., collecting acoustic guitars, violins, keyboards, and drums/percussion instruments.

2026 INSTRUMENT DRIVE! 🎶

CAL is partnering with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame once again for Play It Forward!® Cleveland at their Fam Jam. We are collecting new or gently used instruments including acoustic guitars, violins, keyboards (no large pianos), and drums or percussion instruments such as djembe and timbau.

Join us on Saturday, June 20 from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and help put instruments into the hands of Cleveland youth, expanding access to music education across our community.

📣Don’t miss a special youth performance around 1:15 p.m. featuring participants from our Inspiration Through Music summer camp, showcasing the impact of these instruments in action.

A heartfelt thank you to the Cleveland Chamber Choir for selecting us as their pay-what-you-wish nonprofit partner for their May 8 and May 9 performances of La Fleur de la Renaissance.

We are deeply grateful to every attendee whose generosity helped raise over $600 to nurture creative learning experiences for youth across Northeast Ohio. These concerts were truly unforgettable, filled with breathtaking music, remarkable singers, and a powerful shared commitment to the arts. 💙

What a wonderful afternoon of music and community at Cleveland Public Library MLK Branch for our Inspiration Through Music Spring Showcase. 🎶

Our participants in grades 3–12 took the stage to share their growth and hard work over the course of the 2025–2026 program year through performances on percussion, guitar, violin, keyboard, and an ensemble piece. We are so proud of each young musician for sharing their talents with confidence and joy.

💙A heartfelt thank you to all of the families and community members who came out to support our youth. Your encouragement means so much.

💙We are also grateful to Councilman Kevin Conwell and Sherry Ulery for joining us on behalf of the City of Cleveland - City Hall and to Councilman Conwell and his band, The Footprints, for closing out the showcase with a special performance.

💙Finally, thank you to our teaching artists: Ms. Jamie Berland, Mr. Ethan Sheils, Mr. Isaiah Payne, Mr. Malik Burks, and Ms. Alyssa Boyd and our Music Liaison, Teacher Q, for their dedication and mentorship throughout the 2025–2026 program year.
