Part of "Plastics, An Acquired Taste" by Barbara Martin in collaboration with glass artist Marc Petrovic, on display through August 8.

"In 2023 I learned that plastics had been detected in breastmilk. I contemplated ways to depict that news artistically. After many false starts, and thanks to the skill of glassblower Marc Petrovic, I was finally able to create this installation expressing my outrage and the futility I feel about the prevalence of plastics in our world today." - Barbara Martin, 2026
