🇮🇶🌎🇺🇸 We’re counting down the days! See you THIS SUNDAY at One World Day ! 🇺🇸🌍🇮🇶

This year, we have something truly special waiting for you at the Iraqi Cultural Garden. 🇮🇶🎶

The incredible LAiTH ALATTAR will be performing live on the oud, bringing the beautiful sounds of Iraq and Mesopotamia to the heart of Cleveland. 🇮🇶❤️🇺🇸

Oud isn’t just a musical instrument 🎶 it carries thousands of years of history. Ancient depictions of oud-like stringed instruments have been found in Sumerian Uruk in Mesopotamia dating back around 5,000 years. The oud belongs to an ancient family of stringed instruments that later influenced the European lute and the broader evolution of instruments such as the modern guitar. 🎶

Just imagine hearing the sound of an instrument with roots in ancient Mesopotamia, played right here in Cleveland. 🇮🇶❤️🇺🇸

Come early and start the day with us! Join the Parade of Flags at 11:00 AM and proudly walk with Iraq 🇮🇶 then make your way to Iraqi Cultural Garden #50 for live oud music, Iraqi snacks and drinks, art, culture, and plenty of Iraqi hospitality 🤍

This is more than volunteering, it’s a chance to come together, meet new people, have fun, and help us share the beauty, warmth, history, and heritage of Iraq with thousands of visitors from across Cleveland and beyond. 🇺🇸🌳🇮🇶

Yesterday, our President Zahraa AlAdeeb, alongside two wonderful members of our Iraqi-American community, rolled up their sleeves and spent nearly four hours cleaning and preparing the Iraqi Cultural Garden for One World Day 2026 🇺🇸🤍🇮🇶

After a full workday, they still showed up, clearing weeds, removing debris, cleaning the grounds, and giving their time and energy to a garden that represents all of us. 🇺🇸🤍🇮🇶
We are incredibly proud and grateful. Even more beautiful was seeing members of our community working side by side, getting to know one another, laughing, helping, and coming together for something that belongs to all of us 🇺🇸🤍🇮🇶

Now, we need ONE MORE PUSH! 💪🇮🇶🤍🇺🇸

We’re looking for friendly faces, energetic souls, and passionate volunteers to help at the Iraqi Cultural Garden throughout the day.

What if the next generation knew Iraq not through headlines… but through heritage? 🇮🇶🇺🇸

When people hear the word Iraq, many think of conflict.

We think of home.

We think of the land where civilization began. The birthplace of writing, mathematics, law, and some of the world’s oldest cities. We think of hospitality, family, resilience, music, poetry, and traditions that have been passed down for thousands of years.

This year, Al Bait Al Iraqi in Cleveland has the privilege of representing Iraq at One World Day while continuing our vision of building the first Iraqi Cultural Garden in the United States.

This is more than one day.

It is an opportunity to introduce thousands of visitors to the true story of Iraq and to ensure that future generations of Iraqi Americans remain connected to their roots while proudly embracing their American identity.

Today, we’re inviting businesses, organizations, and community members to become part of that story.

Every sponsorship helps preserve our heritage, strengthen our community, and build a lasting legacy for generations to come.

As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, all eligible donations are tax-deductible, and a tax receipt will be provided.
