Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. On this Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude on their sacrifice and the freedoms we enjoy because of their courage.

At FPC Hope Center, we also recognize the strength of military families, veterans, and all those carrying the weight of loss today. May we lead with compassion, unity, and remembrance, not only today, but every day.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

I was honored to represent FPC Hope Center at the Every Child Now Conference. It was truly a privilege to co-present and share space with Rebecca Smith of Mercy & Grace Counseling. Her personal story was incredibly powerful and moving, reminding us all why this work matters so deeply.

It was also inspiring to be surrounded by so many dedicated leaders and advocates who are committed to supporting children and strengthening families across our state. Together, we are investing in the future of West Virginia.

Today, we had the privilege of honoring the life and legacy of Susan Sibley with a special dedication at FPC Hope Center.

A longtime member of First Presbyterian Church and our largest Hope Builder, Susan’s generosity and heart for others have left a lasting impact on our work and the lives of those we serve. Beyond her meaningful financial contributions, Susan was also a talented and passionate artist.

In her memory, Susan’s family graciously donated a beautiful painting she created, which now hangs in our activity room for program participants to enjoy. This piece will serve as a daily reminder of her kindness, creativity, and unwavering support of our mission.

We were honored to gather with FPC Hope Center board members, Pastor Myers, and Susan’s loved ones, including her sister-in-law Sally Adkins and dear friend Patty Bevins, for this meaningful dedication.

We are deeply grateful for Susan’s legacy, which will continue to inspire hope, beauty, and compassion within our community for years to come.
