Our repertory has a number of very special pieces created in collaboration and inspired by the work of some incredible visual artists. Our Art Meets Movement series was built from these creative intersections. Each workshop is an opportunity to explore visual art and dance as a creator or an observer… you decide!

This Friday our workshop will feature three visual artists and great friends to the company: , , and ! Join us as we explore creative process and find connection between visual art and dance.

We are hosting an Art Meets Movement workshop this month!

Thanks to the generosity of the City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department and our Education and Community Sponsors, this program remains free and open to all. This month’s gathering is especially meaningful as we collaborate with three visual artists: Leslie Alexander, Mary Glenn Keadle, and Mary Walker. We love this series for the way it brings artists and community together, and we’re thrilled to expand our workshop format to include multiple collaborators.

Our workshop is a great way to get to know the winner of the 2026 North Charleston Arts Fest Poster Design Competition… ! A collection of her work, including her winning piece ‘Looking North’, will be on view at Park Circle Gallery from April 29–May 30.

And don’t miss all of the offerings at the Fest this week and weekend, including a number of dance performances!

Circling up at the end of warmup today.

When you spend over 12 weeks with a group of students, the connection is going to be strong. We felt it on and off stage. Thank you to for inviting us for a full semester residency, and to the students to opening themselves up to our creative process. We are so proud!

Our hearts are full. We loved performing every piece ‘Ripples of Change’ and we are grateful for everyone who shared in our weekend.

An incredible performance last night….and we get to do it again today!

Thank you to everyone who attended. You were the most gracious audience and we loved connecting with so many of you before and after the concert!

Today’s performance of ‘Ripples of Change’ is at 3pm at the Emmett Robinson Theatre. Tickets available through the George Street Box Office.

🌎Earth Day seems like the perfect day to share a few photos and videos from our open showing of ‘When the Air Stays Still’ earlier this month. What followed were meaningful discussions about environmental grief and the impact art can make in better understanding personal feelings and community impact.

We reflected on the ideas shared and took them into our final rehearsals of the piece. Our connection with this work is so strong and we can’t wait to share it with you this weekend. 🤍
