At Patriot Art Foundation, we believe art can honor service, preserve memory, and create connection.

In Watercolor Bootcamp, veterans were first invited to paint their boots—not simply as objects, but as powerful symbols of journey, identity, and experience.

Their art celebrates the deeply personal, in some respects a self-portrait in footwear, each one reflecting a story of resilience, service, and self-expression. Veterans are invited to share their paintings along with one or two sentences about the meaning behind their piece, signed with their first name and the first initial of their last name. Are you a interested in our next online Watercolor Bootcamp? Please email [email protected] with ‘Watercolor Bootcamp’ in the subject line.
