I wrote an email to Eric Hovind of Creation Today about the logical fallacies in his newest theologically geocentric anti-alien video with John Harris of Living Waters Europe. While the venture fell on deaf ears, it's instructive to note that they use the same old tired arguments that were refuted way back in the Middke Ages but cintinue to repeat them out of willful ignorance. Arm yourself with truth: Nothing in the Bible or the Gospel speaks against the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

On December 11, 2025, Eric Hovind of Creation Today hosted John Harris of Living Waters Europe on the Creation Today Show to discuss “Aliens & the Bible: Are We Really Alone?” I had taken a lon…

Once again, it's time to remind people that the Satanic Panic over and the Jack Chick image many Christians have of Halloween was given to us by liars and con men.

Every year as the holidays approach, the Christian corner of the Internet erupts in a frenzy over whether or not a particular holiday should be celebrated. No holiday is more vigorously disputed am…

Let me break it down for you, because Ken Ham here uses a few of his oft-repeated and equally oft-refuted arguments uphold his position that aliens couldn't possibly exist according to the Bible.

1. The Bible doesn't say that the Earth ALONE was created with or for life. He's adding his opinion here but nothing in the original languages suggests this. His position isn't based on exegesis (drawing out the original meaning of the text) but rather the tradition he received.

2. If aliens exist and are under the effects of the Fall, they may only suffer the effects that nature suffers. Animals don't need to be saved. Only the bloodline of Adam required salvation. It does not logically follow that beings born apart from Adam's bloodline require spiritual salvation. If God did impute a sin nature to beings outside of Adam's bloodline, He is more than able to provide them with special revelation about Christ's crucifixion and resurrection on Earth and impute His righteousness to those who receive Him by grace through faith! No God-Vulcan required. This point was established by Christian theologians as far back as the Middle Ages!

3. The Bible never says aliens don't exist (anymore than it said we are the center of the universe) and if we discovered extraterrestrial life there are certainly passages we will point to that suggested it all along. We need to keep the question open, lest we repeat the error of Galileo and in the wisdom of Gamaliel not make dogmatic statements in either direction.

Let me give you a prime example of hypocrisy and spiritual abuse: "pastor" and "deliverance minister" Greg Locke performed an exorcism on a little girl and says that the demon gave him the name of 6 witches in his church. Being (apparently) grossly ignorant of church history, specifically the shameful moral panic better known as the Salem With Trials, he threatened to expose those 6 witches by name if they didn't leave his church.

Then he said this, ostensibly defending his spiritual abuse:

"If you're going to lead in this church, if you're going to deliver in this church, then you got to go through deliverance. You know why? Why would I take … wisdom and council from somebody under the influence of something that ought to be cast out of them?"

Funny. He took council from a little girl he supposed was under the influence of a demon. Is this advice for everyone but him? Looks like he doesn't practice what he preaches (Matthew 23:3). Rather it's just a thinly veiled excuse to get rid of critics in his church.

A bit of good advice: Don't listen to the Devil. And don't listen to anyone who's listening to that old snake either!

I met him once. He had a rare wit, a sense of humor you might expect from Steve Martin, and some of the more interesting creation talks I've heard. He will be missed!

We’re mourning the loss of another giant in the AiG ministry: my great friend and former seminar teammate, Dr. David Menton, who passed away today at age 83 after a brief illness.

Every year, we get a slew of leftover Satanic Panic objections to Halloween. It's time to admit that these bad arguments are built on logical fallacies and fear mongering.

Black Lives Matter.

Period.

Maybe you don't support the organization but you need to get behind the idea, stop talking politics and start doing something about the disparity of power, justice and opportunity they experience here in the country we used to name a Christian Nation.

It has come to my attention that some preachers are conflating church attendance with faith in God during this pandemic. That is not what faith in God means.

The medical experts and governments of the world agree that social distancing is our best bet.

These well-meaning bit ultimately reckless preachers are essentially asking their congregations to tempt God, placing their friends, loved ones and communities at unnecessary risk for the sake of perfunctory church attendance. The internet affords us new tools for fellowship, service and worship.

Please talk some sense into your pastors and close your church buildings during this pandemic. Truly love your neighbor as yourself.

Every good work comes to an end...

Every work comes to an end. Even God, at the end of the 6th day of Creation, looked over His work, saw that it was very good… and rested. He stopped creating. He went on to do something else.…
