Will you help us build more connections? 💞 At ABVI client events, individuals who are blind or low vision find community and connection over shared experiences. 🤝

Teens like Emma have opportunities to make meaningful connections and foster friendships through ABVI’s children’s services program, SELECT. Living with progressive hearing and vision loss, Emma often experienced barriers in communicating with her peers. However, during a SELECT event she attended, she engaged with the group, met a friend, and enjoyed community. What was different? ABVI instructors provided a safe space for her to meet other teens with vision loss where she could learn, laugh, and belong. 🫶

Pearl’s world started to feel smaller as vision and hearing loss made it harder to stay connected. Through iCanConnect, she received accessible technology and one-on-one training, and now she’s back to making calls, video chatting, and staying close to the people she loves.
