Twenty Paws Rescue, a 501c3 non-profit, located in NY rescues dogs and cats from all walks of life. We work with NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, and RI.

Twenty Paws Rescue has one common objective and passion. Every day they strategize and devise plans to battle an ongoing epidemic plaguing our streets, the abundance of forgotten homeless, abused, and surrendered animals from every kind of background. Twenty Paws, a small rescue, is only able to bring their ambitious dreams to fruition by an exceptional and dedicated team composed of volunteers and fosters. Working tirelessly and within their means, Linda, Rachel, and the Twenty Paws’ team combine their boundless devotion to provide all Twenty Paws angels with exceptional foster life and vet care until they find a forever home. Even though the Twenty Paws focuses primarily on the “bully” breeds, they are not a breed specific rescue. Twenty Paws provides refuge and unconditional love to dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, sex, and temperament. Linda and Rachel strive to provide all Twenty Paws animals and families with the ideal match and safest environment possible. Furthermore, they have the strength inside to fight every minute. Until every shelter cage is empty, Twenty Paws will continue to be their voice. Twenty Paws Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations to the rescue are tax-deductible.

Senior dog lovers! Bettie is looking for her forever home. This gorgeous girl is dog & kid friendly. She doesn’t ask for much, just a comfy couch & snuggles.

This 12 yr old, 55 lb girl is the ultimate house hippo. A sweet, gentle, chill angel who loves humans (big and small) and enjoys relaxing on the couch.

Bettie is besties with her fosters little human, and after slow intros does well with the resident dog! She’s made a great addition to any family.

Bailey is the best of both worlds (or actually all the worlds). At the age of 8 he’s mature, easy to understand, trained, chill. But he’s a young 8 and still has so much energy to hike, walk, train, and look new skills (our personal fav is up up- see haystack pic).

Bailey is a perfect 50 lbs, loyal, loving and truly the perfect dog. He will thrive in a home that understands him, his past, and gives him the most loving future.

He always has that big goofy smile, loves to give paw while snuggling in bed, and is overall just a good god boy.

Bailey so potty & crate trained, up to date on medical & neutered, gets along well with dogs, doesn’t mind cats, and could do well with older kids.

Dolly is the epitome of a cool girl. She’s a spunky 1 yr old, 70 lb lapdog moose. 💖

Dolly is deaf and mostly blind, but you’d never know. She quickly navigates new spaces and has an undeniable spark.

Dolly is still a puppy and loves to play. She would thrive in a home where she gets long walks, and even thrives as a running buddy. 🐕

Dolly loves other dogs and makes an excellent playmate. She’s truly a sweet girl waiting for her forever family. 🏡

✅Dolly is crate trained, potty trained, spayed, and UTD on medical.

Scooby Doo is a good boy looking for his forever family. At 2 yrs old and a perfect 50 lbs Scoobs is dog & teen friendly. He’s playful, loves training, and will make a great addition to any home.

Scoobs was once part of a family and surrendered due to no fault of his own. Now he’s ready to find his true forever.

Scooby loves adventures and to play! He’s loyal, affectionate, and smart. This pittie shepherd mix is truly one of a kind!

‼️Stitch needs a foster or adopter by mid November‼️ Stitch was adopted 9 yrs ago and is now being surrendered— to no fault of his own.

Currently Stitch is the only pet. He would do great in an adult only home. He’s a sweet baby who deserves love and his forever family.

Our sweet 9 yr old Cali came to us as a diverted placement from the NYCACC. What that means is the shelter connects us directly so we can take Cali before she’s surrendered to the shelter.

When we took this deserving girl in we already knew she had some lumps and bumps.

Cali has been doing well in foster— she’s a sweet & sassy angel. And now it’s time to get her the surgery to remove & biopsy her masses to see if this is cancer (doctor believes it is) and what the next steps would be.

Since in foster a few more lumps have appeared and some have grown. Help us get this girl the care she deserves.

Coco is extremely urgent. His behavior is deteriorating in the shelter and he’s worse by the day.

Coco is 1.5 yrs old, indifferent about dogs, and just needs a foster to help him transition into life in a home.

Coco’s had a string of bad luck. He was at the shelter in Newark and was on the with list for his kennel stress— he can’t settle down. He was spared and transferred to Tinton Falls but has continuously declined.

He has so much potential but is struggling so much. He needs a hero to be patient and help him become the best version of himself.
