Phinh was determined to help provide for his aging parents so that they could stop crop farming. The village's mountainous terrain made it an unreliable trade. He desperately wanted to attend college to study and start a new profession, but he could not afford the tuition. Then he applied for a scholarship through Samaritan's Purse.

“Thanks to what I learned about financial management, I was able to help my parents,” he said. “Without that preparation, I do not know what my family would have done.”

We praise God for allowing us to be part of Phinh's story!

Adryana always dreamt of being a missionary overseas. However, when a serious illness left her too weak to walk, God showed her that her mission field is anywhere. This inspired her to continue packing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes despite ongoing health challenges.

Setting a goal of 1,000 shoeboxes, she packed over 1,747 boxes by National Collection Week. She also raised more than $17,000 to cover the $10 donation per shoebox, and raised over $10,000 to send each shoebox recipient through The Greatest Journey classes.

Today, Adryana continues to share the hope of Jesus. Because of her illness, she does not know if she could ever be a missionary overseas. But she is grateful that she can be on mission with God anywhere.

“I’ve seen what God can do when I put my faith in Him—if I can imagine it, He can do more,” Adryana says.
