Since 1970, Samaritan's Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. erves the Church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This morning, our 767 cargo plane took off for Nepal carrying life-saving supplies for those affected by the recent catastrophic flooding. Our Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) members on the ground will be working with trusted partners to get these items into the hands of people in need.

“In a matter of like 30 minutes everything just blew up. The fire jumped the river, and it was coming here. The police were going door to door, saying, ‘Get out now.’ There was lots of smoke, and ash was falling from the sky,” said Paul Blake.

Samaritan's Purse is on the ground in Spokane, WA in the wake of devastating wildfires, helping homeowners sift through the ashes to salvage precious belongings.

Bayarchimeg received life-saving surgery through our Children's Heart Project.

“She was struggling to walk,” recalled her mother, Byambaa. “She would squat and fall down. She liked to dance but after some time, her body gave out doing simple tasks.”

After her surgery, Bayarchimeg can run and play like never before. She's dancing again, and spinning and jumping without difficulty. She breaks into a dance of her own making just because she's happy. She doesn't even need music!

Michael McNamara received the gift of better eyesight at our community medical outreach in Wheeling, WV, last weekend! This event was 100% free of charge to anyone without insurance in need of dental, vision, or medical assistance.

Michael came in to get glasses as well as medication to address health issues he is facing.

“I have been having vision issues and because of my diabetes, it gets worse every year. The fact that you guys make glasses in a day, I'm so thrilled. I can’t begin to tell you how blessed I am, because every piece of this day has been phenomenal, and I have met some amazing people," he said.

We give God all the glory to have been able to help nearly 500 people like Michael!

Samaritan's Purse has deployed to central Indiana in the wake of catastrophic flooding that caused damage to hundreds of homes.

Our staff and volunteers will mud out homes, remove drywall and flooring, and salvage belongings. Most importantly, we'll share that God loves them and has not forgotten them.

August 19-25 is National Aviation Week! We are so grateful for our Mission Aviation Services team (MAS) that make international responses possible! We give God the glory for the ability to have our own aircraft so that we are able to reach places around the world that aren't accessible by vehicle.
