Bluum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to ensuring Idaho’s children reach their fullest potential by cultivating great leaders and innovative schools. Bluum is focused on improving student achievement and expanding quality-learning opportunities for children and families by supporting those educators that are delivering results and expanding their reach. We will work to transform learning in Idaho and beyond by:
• Developing innovative leaders;
• Growing successful school models;
• Sharing research and learning innovations; and
• Providing school support and management help.

Each year, this report brings together the latest available education data in one place, giving Idahoans a valuable resource to explore, reference, and revisit. With updated numbers and insights across our state's education landscape, there's plenty to dig into in this year's edition.

We’re wrapping up our Homegrown network highlights with Sage International!
Sage was founded around a simple idea: a rigorous, internationally focused education shouldn’t only be available to families who can afford private school.
Through the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, Sage brings challenging, inquiry-based learning to Idaho students in a free, public school setting. From kindergarten through graduation, students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, take risks, and develop skills they can carry with them well beyond the classroom.
What began with Sage International School in Boise has grown to include a second campus in Middleton, expanding access to an educational model designed to develop curious, capable, and globally minded learners.

We’re continuing to celebrate our Homegrown networks with Alturas!
What began in a single educator’s classroom has grown into a network of schools built around the belief that learning happens when students are challenged, supported, and encouraged to “embrace the struggle.”
Through small-group instruction and multi-age classrooms, Alturas meets students at their instructional level, creating an environment where students are challenged to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and take an active role in their education.
What started with one educator and 17 families has grown into three schools serving students in Southeastern Idaho — bringing the same personalized, student-centered approach to more students and communities along the way.

We're continuing to celebrate our Homegrown networks with Elevate Academies!

Built on the belief that every student deserves an education that is meaningful to them, Elevate Academies are dedicated to serving at-risk students through a hands-on, career-focused approach to learning.

By reimagining what education can look like for at-risk students, Elevate creates opportunities for students to discover their strengths and connect their education to their futures. Through career and technical education, students explore pathways in fields like construction, welding, culinary arts, medical sciences, and more.

From Caldwell to North Idaho and beyond, Elevate continues to grow, bringing its distinctive educational model to more Idaho communities and preparing students for success beyond the classroom.

Our Homegrown network highlights continue with American Classical Schools of Idaho!
Calling it “the education that’s gone missing,” ACSI is bringing classical, liberal arts education to communities across Idaho, with an emphasis on developing knowledgeable, virtuous, and well-rounded citizens.
From rural communities to growing suburbs, ACSI has expanded access to its distinctive approach to education across the state. Their schools take a deliberately low-tech approach to learning, creating classrooms centered on rich curriculum, meaningful relationships, and the pursuit of the true, the good, and the beautiful.
As more Idaho communities embrace the classical model, ACSI continues to grow alongside them.

We’re celebrating Homegrown by highlighting the Idaho-grown networks that made it all possible, starting with Gem Prep!
What began as a small online school has grown into the largest charter school network in the state. Today, Gem Prep serves students across eight school locations, an online program, and Learning Societies throughout Idaho — and their story is still growing.
Through exceptional teaching, innovative technology, and strong partnerships with the communities they serve, Gem Prep is preparing students for success well beyond the K–12 classroom.
