When Christen Skinner’s father was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer, she watched him go silent — then watched a fly-fishing river retreat bring him back.

That’s how Currents of Courage began. Join Christen (director) and her father David Nehmer (executive producer, and one of the seven men in the film) for BEHIND THE CURRENT — a conversation about making their first independent film together, with never-before-seen clips from the doc ahead of its Sept 17 world premiere. Then stay as we screen the classic A River Runs Through It.

Here’s how the evening runs:

5:30 PM – Doors open
6:00 PM – Christen & David in conversation, with never-before-seen clips
7:15 PM – Screening of A River Runs Through It
9:30 PM – Event ends

This months curation is Revanche - an extremely intense Austrian thriller, written and directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Götz Spielman. Set in Vienna, an ex-convict and his love interest must escape peril in a story about revenge, love and redemption.
