Northwest Youth Services

Northwest Youth Services Housing and support for youth ages 13–24 in NW Washington. Empowering young people, challenging systems, and building pathways to safety and stability.

Since 1976, Northwest Youth Services has provided housing, outreach, education and employment support, LGBTQ+ programs, and restorative justice services for young people ages 13–24 in Northwest Washington. Our work is rooted in youth voice, agency, and connection. We walk alongside young people as they build stability, strengthen their futures, and form community that supports and celebrates them.

Across every program, young people find safe adults who listen without judgment and stand with them as they navigate their next steps. Our impact is strengthened by a community that believes in and invests in youth, making it possible for young people to access the support, belonging, and opportunities they deserve. For 50 years, Northwest Youth Services has been a doorway to safety and a pathway to progress for thousands of youth in our region. We believe that every young person deserves a supportive community and a home where they can thrive. A gift of $350 will provide a young person with support and a place to call home for one night. Today we are grateful for the generosity of Sliced, a local family owned business that continues to show steady support for young people in our community. The hot meals they donate each week offer comfort and consistency for youth who visit our Ground Floor Drop In Center, and we are thankful for the care and reliability they bring to this space.

Sliced recently hosted a fundraiser in support of Northwest Youth Services, and their ongoing partnership reflects a belief that every young person deserves nourishment, encouragement, and a warm place to land. Their commitment helps us create a dependable and welcoming environment for youth who are navigating complex challenges.

On this GivingTuesday we want to recognize Sliced for investing in the wellbeing of youth and for helping ensure that a warm and accessible meal is readily available at Ground Floor.

Thank you to the Sliced team for showing up for youth and strengthening our community through ongoing generosity and care!

Are you planning a Costco run this week? If so, our Outreach team could really use a few essentials to help youth stay safe and warm this season.

They’re especially in need of:
• Hand warmers (currently $10.99!)
• Tarps
• Hats & gloves
• Meat sticks, applesauce pouches, and fruit snacks
• Flashlights

If you’re able to grab a pack or two while you’re shopping, it makes a big difference. Thank you for helping us care for our community. 💙💛

Young people in our programs often tell us that “home” isn’t just a place — it’s safety, stability, and people who show up for you.
We asked our community the same question, and your responses were powerful.

💬 Tell us in the comments: What does home mean to you?
Your words help shape how we show up for youth every day.

Big thanks to the Bellingham Blazers Hockey for gifting our PAD youth an unforgettable night of hockey! Our staff, Clare and Rey, joined the crew to cheer on the team and share in this amazing experience. Special shoutout to Dominique D’Amour and the Blazers Team Operations for making it all happen—your generosity means the world to us! 🏒

This Giving Tuesday, remember that support goes beyond monetary donations. Experiences like this, gift cards, and other contributions all make a huge difference in helping our young people feel seen, supported, and part of a caring community.

If you're able to help, please bring as many diapers as you can. Our young people depend on these essential supplies, and we’re counting on your generosity during this time.
