Safe Storage Lockers Safe Storage Bellingham is a secure storage locker pilot project for people experiencing homelessness in Bellingham, Washington.

The Safe Storage Lockers program aims to increase the chances for people experiencing homelessness to transition off the streets and into permanent housing by providing a support program & outdoor storage lockers to safely store personal belongings. The storage lockers will provide a safe place to keep important and valuable personal belongings, that may otherwise have to be left unattended in pub

lic spaces, while one goes about their day. Having a safe place to store belongings has been identified as the most needed and desired service, after housing, by those experiencing homelessness in Bellingham. Having a safe place for items allows people to apply for jobs and housing, attend doctors appointments, go to work or school, and complete other daily tasks without having to carry all of their belongings with them. Our Story

We believe every person has a basic human right to housing. With our Safe Storage Lockers pilot program, we aim to increase the chances for people to transition off the streets and into permanent housing, by providing a personal connection and a place to safely store personal belongings.

Safe Storage Lockers Mission: Providing secure storage for people without housing.

The Safe Storage Lockers pilot program began as a concept by unhoused and housed community members in Bellingham, WA as a way to address the prevalent and vital need for secure storage among people without housing.

A safe place to store belongings offers an opportunity to go about daily life (to work, job hunt, attend classes, use public transportation, go to appointments, and work on daily goals) without the constant mental and physical burden of carrying one's belongings everywhere, all day long.
