NAMI Whatcom is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness

All our programs are free, and led by trained volunteers who either live with a mental health condition or have a loved one with a mental health condition.

This Stigma Stomp felt like a movie!

Thank you everyone who came out, volunteered, or even just acknowledged mental health with us this last weekend!

We are so appreciative of this community and look forward to this event every year.

To our dearest friends and neighbors, As a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, NAMI Whatcom is legally required to remain strictly non-partisan. We do not endorse political candidates or permit campaign activity at our events or in our communications. Our focus is-and always will be- supporting mental health for all members of our community.

As the school year is off and running so are our NAMI presentations like Ending the Silence.

This free presentation pairs important facts about mental health with lived experience from trained peers.

If you are some with a mental health condition and would like to get involved with telling your story to community members, organizations, and schools, reach out to our Peer Program Coordinator Brylie today at [email protected]

NAMI Whatcom has groups happening through the month both online and in person!

These groups are free and ran by trained, peer volunteers, who care about their community and destigmatizing mental health.

September 20th is the last day to get your hands on the 2026 Stigma Stomp T-shirt!

That means if you register AFTER the 20th, you won't be able to match with us all at the event!

We will have a SELECT number of shirts, vintage ones too, available by donation as well so make sure to arrive early.

Are you a peer with a mental health condition looking for a FREE 8 week workshop to learn practical coping skills with other folks in the community who get it?

Look no further because our next session of Peer to Peer is starting soon!

Peer to Peer will meet at the NAMI Whatcom office starting September 21st from 5:30-7:30 and will meet every Monday for 8-weeks.

September is Su***de Prevention Month.

Mental health affects us all so this month join NAMI Whatcom in some ways to help raise awareness about mental health and su***de prevention.
