Over 1200 volunteer hours in 2019 done for the year! No more meetings or events.
• Helped pack 113,000 food packets for Feed My Starving Children
• Sponsored Bingo for weekly 40-60 players
• Despite terrible weather, raised $4,500 through our annual Compost Project
• Had the most enjoyable Theater Night EVER!
• Again sailed with Title I students from Sunnyland school on the tall ship Adventuress
• Distributed dictionaries to 847 3rd graders in the Bellingham School District
• Awarded three, $1,000 college scholarships
• Conducted three food drives – Food Bank and Salvation Army
• Three clean-ups – twice at our Wayside Park and twice and Bellingham Technical College's toddlers' play yard
• Participated in the 3rd, annual STEAM science project in Lynden
• Packed 170 Thanksgiving boxes for needy families
• Provided more than 60 back packs for local youngsters at the start of fall classes
• For more than 25 years, again rang the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas
• Sponsored youth activities through WWU's Circle K Club and Sehome Key Club
• Offered additional financial support for national and international projects KCCP (Kiwanis Kids Cancer Project), SIGN (fractured bone repair in third world nations), SMILE TRAIN, (repair of cleft palates for youngsters), ELIMINATE (prevention of neo-natal tetanus for mothers and babies abroad in poor countries). Additional funds were allocated to nearly a dozen local organization and projects.
• Weekly luncheon meetings with speakers on scores of interesting topics and issues.
