A beautiful 100% Ragfinery fabric quilt made by our very own Boonlan Wong (our long time volunteer who does almost all of our pre-sale maintenance,checks,cleaning,oiling EVERYTHING for the sewing machines that are donated to us to find new homes💫) Just more proof that you don’t need to buy new fabric to make beautiful pieces like this ❤️✨

We’ve never felt prettier! Thanks to the fabulous .nash for capturing our likeness so well.

After many changes and transitions, we’re so happy to finally be settled in our new space, and to have these lovely shots to document! As an organization that’s heavily shaped by our community, Ragfinery has held many different identities as the years have gone by. Now, at the ripe age of 12, we’re situated in a gorgeous new space surrounded by the ever-changing stock that makes us what we are. How lucky are we! These photos will serve as incredible time capsules, seeing as so much of what’s captured in them has since moved on to new homes. Thrilled to see how personality keeps presenting itself in our store shaped by our incredibly creative & crafty community! While a picture can be worth a thousand words, so much still goes unsaid in our dynamic little shop. Come visit us to get the rest of the story!

Today, April 3rd, 2026, we’re celebrating a very important milestone: 12 years of Ragfinery!

As birthday’s often prompt, there’s so much we’re reflecting on, feeling gratitude for, and looking forward to. From humble beginnings in 2014, as a freshly minted DBA of Reuse Works, it’s safe to say we’ve lived many lives. Starting at truly grassroots beginnings as a volunteer-led operation, propelled by the org’s very first payroll employee and manager, Shan Sparling, to our current 501(c)(3) status captained by the fantastic, Kate Stragis, our mission has remained the same: to cultivate a culture of reuse via creativity and community-building. Years of sewing workshops, mending events, fashion shows, and so much more has not only filled our cup, but abounded with the relationships and connections that have sprouted along the way. While our mission has kept us growing and engaged, the community we’ve built is what has fueled our fire and given us vitality. Even with our unforeseen closure throughout the last year in lieu of fire damage, our spark never went out. Endless thank yous to our entire community - those who knew us in 2014, to those who’ve met us in 2026 - everyone who has had a hand in shaping the Ragfinery that we know and love. 12 years down, cheers to 12 more!
