Teachers are prepped, students got new kicks and polos and the Teen Maker Program application is LIVE!

Open Works' Teen Maker Program is a skill acquisition focused after school program. Learn, design and build with laser cutters, sewing machines and more.

$400 stipend available per cohort, participation-based.

October-December 2026: Sewing + Textiles
January-April 2027: Digital Fabrication
Tuesdays, 4-7PM | Thursdays, 4-6PM | 3-4pm “Study Hall"

To apply, please first make sure that you meet the following requirements:
+ Must be enrolled as a full-time student (Public Baltimore City High School or equivalent program)
+ Must be 15 (turning 16 before programming is over) - 19 year old
+ Must be able to attend ALL class sessions
+ Must complete application form

Thea is a member and instructor at Open Works and has used our digital embroidery machines in their work, which focusses “the entanglements of diasporic Philippine identity” through craft and material histories, sculptural objects and installations.
