This morning, Linover resident Michael posted photos to Nextdoor and a Parkville social media page showing the trash left in the Overlea Rec Pavilion by Fullerton Elementary. We have received complaints about the pavilion and the parking lot before and have picked up trash, along with the parents and teachers of Fullerton.

This is completely unacceptable.

But because Linover is awesome and thanks to Mike’s alert - about 7 people showed up. This includes residents from Linover, a resident from South Perry Hall, a resident from Parkville. Besides neighbors and LIA officers, Jaki, the president of the Overlea Football League and our neighbor, came with her kids and helped clean up.

Mike’s pick up bed was loaded to the dumpster with trash.

This is where we have National Night Out. We don’t leave a mess - especially compared to this.

We will be contacting authorities to increase overnight patrols as the weather gets warm.

Stay tuned for more community clean up info.

Also - if you left a phone last night at the pavilion, the battery was dead. But it’s available for pick up at precinct 9.

Thank you to Mike, Jaki, Perry, and the community who showed up!

🚨 An alert to residents -

A tree has come down across the steps at Linover Park in the rain and storms. The steps at Terrace Drive are inaccessible at the moment.

We have just sent out a message to Overlea Rec and Councilman Ertel.

Please use caution in the weather and at the park. It is possible the tree may rest there until the weather stops. Use the Lillian Holt Drive entrance to access Linover Park. 🌳 ☔️

May 20th - 4:45 pm

If your recycling is currently sat up for pick up for Thursday morning, please consider taking it back in if it is not secure and taking it back out when storms move out of the area. Winds have picked up across the community and the storm clouds are moving in.

If you see recycling after the storms are done, please pick it up when it is safe to do so and help keep Linover clean.
