We are Hamilton-Lauraville Main Street; the best Main Street in town. Yes, we might be a tad biased!

Hamilton-Lauraville Main Street is a volunteer-driven, diverse community of businesses and residents who work together to create a thriving Harford Road Corridor in Lauraville and Hamilton. HLMS is a Baltimore City Main Street program and follows the National Main Street's economic development model. We help promote the businesses on the Main Street, assist merchants with goals such as creating bu

siness plans, finding available properties, and understanding market demographic information, as well as apply for the City's facade grant program, which helps businesses make improvements that attract more customers to their shops. HLMS is also a partner of the Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative (HNI) program targeting investments and stabilizing middle neighborhoods. HLMS provides quality of life experiences that retain residents and attract new neighbors, and create opportunities for businesses, the lifeblood of the community. Volunteers help us make Lauraville and Hamilton a great place to work, live, and play. We need and welcome all forms of help: your time, talents, ideas, suggestions, and enthusiasm! ✨ It’s First Friday in Hamilton-Lauraville! ✨
One of the best things about our neighborhood is that you can spend an entire evening hopping from a local bookstore to a cozy restaurant, popping into unique shops, discovering local art, and running into neighbors along the way.
Tonight is the perfect night to get out, wander along Harford Road, and show some love to the small businesses that give Hamilton-Lauraville its creative, welcoming vibe.

Our Main Street Market is returning beginning one week from today, Thursday June 4th at our community hub, THE LOT @ 4500 Harford Rd! Here’s the breakdown for this season:

Main Street Market EVERY Thursday June 4th - October 15th

THIRD Thursdays = Festival Markets
Our larger themed market nights with expanded vendors, special programming, drinks, food, and pop ups all along Harford Road. (See themes in 2nd slide)

During Festival Markets, will host a high-energy 45-minute kids program — giving parents a chance to shop, grab a drink, hang with neighbors, and enjoy the market while the kids are immersed in supervised activities nearby. (Waiver required)

ALL OTHER Thursdays = Mini Markets
Smaller weekly markets featuring a curated mix of longtime favorites, local vendors, weekly essentials, food, and drink.

So whether it’s a full Festival Market or a laid-back Mini Market — there’s always something happening at The Lot every Thursday. Stay tuned for a full listing of all our vendors for the kickoff market next week!

Big announcement tomorrow about this year’s Main Street Market 👀✨

The market returns NEXT Thursday, June 4 at The Lot @ 4500 Harford Rd — and we’re excited to share that will be at EVERY weekly market this season helping folks sign up for their 2026 CSA! 🥬🍅🥕
Even while relocating their farm, they’ll still be bringing fresh, sustainably grown Baltimore-area produce from local growers and neighbors across the city. Choose from small, medium, or large shares on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly schedule.

We were disappointed to have to cancel our full Garden Tour, but one incredible neighbor stepped up in a big way.

Kristen and John are still opening their garden to the community this Saturday, May 16th from 2–5pm at 2833 Montebello Terrace — and they’re even giving away plants to attendees. That kind of generosity says everything about what makes Hamilton-Lauraville special.

This isn’t just about plants — it’s about resilience, care, and showing up for your neighborhood. It’s about celebrating the beauty right here in our own backyard and creating space to connect, share ideas, and talk gardens with the people who live alongside us.

Kristen and John’s commitment is the kind of spirit that should inspire us all. When one neighbor leads with generosity and follow-through, it sets the tone for the whole community. We hope it encourages more homeowners to open their gardens and more neighbors to attend — so we can build toward a fully packed Garden Tour later this summer.

Even if the full tour couldn’t happen this time, community doesn’t cancel — it adapts. Come by, say hello, and show up for the neighborhood.
