Out For Justice, Inc. Out For Justice is an organization led by formerly and currently incarcerated people.

We engage, educate, and empower our community around the Maryland legislative process, so that they may evolve to the best versions of themselves. Through organizing and persistence we strive to bring about broad, deep economic, political, and social change. All of our members are volunteers, with most possessing a criminal background. Our members are ready to lead and work tirelessly everyday to advocate on behalf of themselves, family members, and those who have yet to find their voice.

"A federal judge threw out the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) lawsuit seeking Maryland’s statewide, unredacted voter registration list, dealing another blow to President Donald Trump and the department’s sweeping campaign to obtain voter data from the states.

The dismissal brings the DOJ’s record to 0-9 out of the 31 lawsuits it brought against states and Washington, D.C."

Juneteenth honors June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced freedom for enslaved African Americans, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, Juneteenth is a celebration of Black freedom, resilience, culture, and the ongoing fight for justice. For Out For Justice, it is also a reminder that liberation requires more than a declaration — it requires removing barriers, protecting rights, and building communities where every returning neighbor and valued member of our community can thrive.
