Today is Senior Citizens Day! At the Economic Action Maryland Fund, we believe older adults deserve our care, our attention, and a future that values them.

Through the Securing Older Adult Resources (SOAR) Program, we work to improve the economic security of older adults in Maryland through direct assistance, research, advocacy, and organizing.

SOAR provides support with the Maryland Homeowners and Renters Property Tax Credits, earned benefit screenings, and financial counseling, along with consumer education focused on Maryland tax credits, financial exploitation, common scams, and digital literacy.

The winner of Community Partnership of the Year is the Maryland Just Power Alliance! This award is granted to a community or organization that has fought to achieve economic equity in their community.

The Maryland Just Power Alliance is a coalition of 3 non-partisan community organizations, representing tens of thousands of Maryland residents. They organize people in congregations, schools, and neighborhoods to build power for policies that make our communities more just and livable for everyone.
