Today! Wednesday, July 22, 2026 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM ET
City Hall, 100 Holliday St, Baltimore, MD 21202

This summer has brought a devastating wave of traffic violence to our city’s streets, reminding us that infrastructure delays have human costs. At this action, we will be specifically honoring the lives of 19-year-old Brandon McMurrin and 3-year-old Jordan Bright, killed on the same day on corridors where long-promised street safety improvements may have prevented their deaths. Our voice is the most powerful tool we have to demand safer streets. Show up and demand action on these corridors now.

🗓️ Tonight!

Baltimore Families for Safe Streets confronts the preventable epidemic of traffic violence by advocating for life-saving changes and providing support to those who have been impacted by crashes.

We will see you in September! Please stay safe!

The Roots of Revival, a national tour, has obtained a permit to hold a concert in the North Park of Mount Vernon Place on Thursday, July 2 from 6-10 PM. Based on their website, the concert is designed to coincide with the nation’s 250th anniversary. The concertaims to celebrate America’s spiritual heritage and promote a religious revival. Organizers for these kinds of events in the public realm are supposed to coordinate with the neighborhood association, as per City guidelines. The event organizers did not engage the MVBA, despite this omission, the City issued the permits.

We wanted to make the community aware of the event and share the information available to us. If you have any questions, we ask that you contact the Mayor’s Office of Community Affairs at [email protected] and the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Entertainment at [email protected] for further information.
