The Texas Police Association, organized March 6, 1895, is the oldest law enforcement organization of its type in the state. Represented in the membership are officers from municipal police departments, sheriffs' departments, constables' offices, the Texas Department of

Public Safety, federal agencies, and others. TPA is "Dedicated to Improving the Police Profession." TPA is a tax-exempt organization as described in Section 501 (c)(3) of the federal income tax law.

Post from Charles Patnode: "Getting close to that time again! This year there will be four lucky winners of 2nd Amendment tools!. First place will be a Kimber 1911 package graciously funded by Duke Electric via Jax T aka Tony Clemishire. Second place will be a pair of Pietta 1851 Navy Brass .36 7 1/2" percussions donated by Alessandro Pietta of Pietta Fi****ms. Third place will be a C**t Cobra 38 special donated by yours truly, Charles Big Iron Patnode. Fourth place will be a Bond Arms Honey B derringer in 22 L.R. donated by a perennial supporter of the Texas Police Association Scholarship fund, Gordon Bond. Special thanks to Storied Fi****ms and BooYah Bullets for their help in purchasing and receiving some of the prizes! Money raised will support scholarships for TPA members to attend the week long Leadership Training Course in Bandera and will also fund scholarships to children of members that are graduating high school. I will let everyone know when the raffle tickets are ready and as always, I appreciate everyone's support! Drawing to be held at the TPA annual conference March 5th, need not be present to win!"
