Austin's KDH Dance Company is presenting a new original work this month — its first without founder Kathy Dunn Hamrick, who died of cancer in February. Building a new work while grieving the very friend and mentor who gave us the opportunity to create this work is a wild experience. However, working within such a generous support system (that has provided a home to Austin dancers and artists for over 27 years) is a true honor.

KDH Dance really, truly rocks, because Kathy Dunn Hamrick really, truly rocked. (Thinking of you a lot lately, Kathy.)

⭐️ SAVE THE DATES : May 29-31 ⭐️ We’d love to see you, hug you, and share this new work with you.

This beautiful cast of five has been in the studio with artistic director Alyson Dolan since early January slowly working our way towards what we need in this moment and what we want to share. Composer Drew Silverman and a band of musicians have also been in process, and we’ll be marrying the sound and movement soon to see what’s upon us.
