❤️🖤WE CHOSE TO GO DEEPER

What started as a vision to provide 200–300 backpacks became something different.

As we prepared for this year’s Back-to-School Initiative, we saw how many incredible organizations and community partners were already stepping up to make sure students had backpacks and school supplies. We asked ourselves:

Where is the deeper need, and how can Generation Uprise help fill it?

So, we pivoted.

Instead of focusing on reaching the largest number of students possible, we focused on providing more comprehensive support to each student we could serve.

Our Uprise Scholars received:

👕 A school uniform or back-to-school outfit
👟 A new pair of shoes
✏️ Grade-appropriate school supplies
🧼 Hygiene essentials for our middle and high school students

Because being prepared for school isn’t only about what’s inside a backpack.

It’s walking through those doors with shoes that fit. Clothes you feel comfortable and confident wearing. The supplies you need in the classroom. And knowing that an entire community believes you deserve to start the year feeling prepared, confident, and supported.

Was it a bigger undertaking? Absolutely. But we knew there was a need, and we believed it was worth meeting.

We are incredibly grateful to every person who helped make this possible — whether you donated financially, gave supplies, volunteered your time, shared our posts, helped us shop, packed bags, or simply supported the vision. We could not have done this without you.

From Texas to Louisiana, we’re investing in the next generation by helping students start the school year with the resources, confidence, and encouragement they need for a successful year.

Selected scholars may receive:

💌 Welcome Packet & Encouragement

Application Deadlines:
📍 Texas: Monday, August 3
📍 Louisiana: Wednesday, August 5

Applications are limited, and scholars will be selected based on need and available funding.

Our very first donation toward Generation Uprise’s 2026 Community Impact Fund just came in!

Thank you to our first donor for believing in this mission and helping us move one step closer to providing backpacks, school supplies, meals, Christmas gifts, and homeless outreach across Texas and Louisiana.

In 2016, I started doing a Christmas giveaway out of my own pocket.

No nonprofit.

No sponsors.

Just me.

Because I knew there were families out there having to choose between keeping the lights on and giving their kids a Christmas.

Ten years later, families are still counting on it. And I’m still showing up.

What started as one Christmas event has grown into Generation Uprise — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving families across Texas and Louisiana with back-to-school drives, Thanksgiving meals, Christmas giveaways, and homeless outreach.

Every year, it got harder, but the need never stopped, so neither did I.

This year, I’m opening the door wider and asking for your support in a bigger way than I ever have before.

My goal is to raise $20,000 to fund four initiatives across both states in 2026. My first milestone is $5,000 by July 10th to launch our Back-to-School event for kids who need it most.
