Partners in Parenting

Partners in Parenting Where new parents build community in Austin. We connect families to supportive meet-up groups. It's a time when, more than ever, a support system is needed.

Early parenthood comes with a wide range of emotions and experiences — from triumphs and elation, to fear and loneliness. Many parents expect the highs and the happiness, but are often caught off guard when feelings of insecurity and isolation creep in. Unfortunately, that support system is not always easy to come by. That's where your PIP group comes in! PIP is proud to have worked closely with a

similar organization in Seattle, called Program for Early Parent Support (PEPS), on the formation of our programming. PEPS was founded in 1983, and many of their groups have gone on to have "Welcome to Kindergarten" parties, high school graduation parties and even 25-year reunions of both the parents AND the children! They have been perfecting their programming for more than 30 years, and have results to prove its effectiveness: 90% of their participants report satisfaction with their experience, most of them citing that they feel better equipped to make parenting decisions, feel more confident as new parents, and feel as though they have a team of parents nearby on whom they can consistently rely. PIP is thrilled to bring this type of community-led peer support to Austin. We offer groups in Spanish and English, and have virtual and in-person options as well. Thanks for taking a look around, and be sure to contact us with any questions you may have.

PIP prioritizes connection not only for new parents, but for the staff as well!

Once a quarter, you’ll find us stepping away from our screens and spending time together, laughing, recharging, and building the relationships that fuel our work.

This quarter: bowling + ramen (Spoiler: our bowling skills are still a work in progress, but the fun was had.) We’re grateful for a team that shows up for each other, on and off the lanes.

“What we know is the caregiver’s mental health directly impacts the infant’s mental health,” Rios said. “So what we want to see is a supported family.”

There’s still time to help us reach our goal of raising 20k for new parent support!

Did you know our groups are available in English and Spanish and are led by trained parent facilitators who create warm, welcoming spaces for real conversation? Each week, parents come together to:

🌟Share the joys and challenges of new parenthood
🌟Learn relationship-centered parenting skills
🌟Celebrate growth, milestones, and moments of joy
🌟Build meaningful connections with other parents

Your gift can be the spark that turns long, lonely nights into brighter days filled with joy and connection.

Calling all new parents in South Austin/Buda/Kyle!! 📢

We have two groups starting soon that will be meeting at the Buda Public Library 😍 This is your chance to find community and connection.

What is a PIP Group?
Weekly peer-to-peer support groups for parents and caregivers of all genders to attend with their babies led by a trained facilitator. Our goal is to provide a welcoming and non-judgmental space where families become a support network for each other.

What happens during a PIP Group?
🫂The group processes all the highs and lows that come with parenthood.
🤓Parents learn new information and skills through weekly topics like feeding, sleep, early learning and development, emotional changes, relationships, and work/life balance.
✅Participants gain resources through the group leader, each other, and guest speakers.
🌟Babies and partners are welcome at all meetings.
