🍎🥕 FREE SUMMER KIDSPAK FOOD BAG DELIVERIES! 🥕🍎
The Augusta Food Bank is partnering with the City of Augusta Childcare to help ensure children have access to nutritious food throughout the summer.
📅 Every Friday beginning June 26, 2026
FREE KidsPak food bags will be available at the following locations:
📍 Glenridge Apartments — 10:30 AM - 10:50 AM
📍 McCalls Playground — 10:55 AM - 11:15 AM
📍 Williams Playground — 11:20 AM - 11:40 AM
📍 Mill Park — 11:50 AM - 12:05 PM
📍 Calumet Playground — 12:10 PM - 12:25 PM
🥪 KidPaks contain kid-friendly food items to help bridge the gap when school meals are unavailable.

Vanessa Morris, a 2026 graduate of Augusta Adult and Community Education, delivered a heartfelt speech that inspired each of us to persevere and keep moving forward.

"To my fellow graduates: our diplomas don't just represent the classes we passed. They represent the obstacles we outlasted. No matter what roadblocks the world tries to put in front of us next, remember today. Remember that we are capable of rewriting the ending."

Augusta Adult and Community Education graduate, Baneen Awad, shared some inspirational thoughts at our 2026 graduation.

"I truly mean it when I say that I feel lucky to be standing here today, because some time ago I was in another country dreaming of being in this exact place, standing in front of you and speaking today.
I waited for this dream for ten years, holding onto a small hope that maybe it would happen, and maybe it would not. Even though I was just a little child, I learned patience before anything else. I learned that every single day we live is another opportunity to achieve our dreams. Every time the sun rises, it means there is still hope that our dreams can come true and become our normal reality and everyday life."

Graduate Cody Gagnon shared his experience at Augusta Adult and Community Education at our recent graduation.

"Coming to Adult Education changed everything for me. For the first time, I felt like I was in a place where people actually understood me and wanted me to succeed. The smaller class sizes made a big difference, and the individualized support helped me stay focused and not fall behind. The teachers and staff didn’t give up on me—they worked with me, encouraged me, and helped me see that I was capable of more than I thought."
