It’s a glorious day to celebrate Pride. 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️

The work of revolution, building a world where all people can live, love, and express their gender and sexuality fully and wholly, is not over. We’re so grateful to our fore-folk for the work they did to get us here, and we’re determined to continue the fight 💪🏾⭐️

Mainers! Action Time! 🚨📲

Call Senator Collins and Senator King to urge them to vote NO on Justin Smith's nomination to the US Court of Appeals for the Eighth District. Smith is a conservative extremist who has dedicated his career to undermining LGBTQ+ rights, access to reproductive care, and other civil rights and protections. He has no business holding a lifetime seat on the federal bench.

📲Call Senator Collins: (202)- 224- 2523
📲Call Senator King: (202) 224-5344

Ask them to to vote against Justin Smith because he is unfit and unqualified to serve on the federal bench.

Per our staff chat: “huge L for transphobes and billionaires!”

PS: They have ten days to appeal the ruling- but this is a good sign!
PPS: Every policy that allows us to exclude trans people also opens the door to any gender-nonconforming or gender expansive person to be targeted, harassed, and intimidated in public!
PPPS: The same civil rights laws that protect trans people’s gender expression are the laws that allow women to wear pants! Lose one, lose ‘em all.

A superior court judge has ruled in favor of the Maine secretary of state's assessment that citizen petitioners did not get enough valid signatures to get a referendum question regarding transgender students' participation in school sports on the Nov. 3 ballot.
