SURPRISE! We’re extending our fee-waived adoption special! 🎉

We have been SO amazed by the number of animals who have found their forever homes during this special, and we want to keep the love going! ❤️ We’ve decided to extend the special to help even more of our furry friends find their happily ever afters. 🏡🐾

Through Sunday, October 25th, all animals aged 6 months and older are FEE-WAIVED! 🎉

Everything else stays the same, so if you’ve been thinking about adding a new best friend to your family, now is a great time to meet your match!
A few important reminders:
❤️ All adoptions are same-day, and we do not place holds.
❤️ Looking to adopt a dog? Be sure to bring any current dogs in your home for a meet!

Let’s keep those happy adoption stories coming!

It’s time for another Wishlist Wednesday! ❤️ We’ve been keeping busy caring for all our furry friends, and we could use a little help restocking some everyday essentials!

This week, we’re in need of:

🧺 Laundry soap
🐱 Cat litter
🧻 Unscented baby wipes
🥫 Cat food (dry and wet)
🐶 Soft dog treats
🌾 Timothy hay
🐹 Pine shavings

** Due to Meta one’s new program, we are unable to post more than two links a month without paying a significant fee. Please find the links in the comments to our wish lists!

Every donation helps us care for the animals counting on us! Thank you for always showing up for our KVHS crew. We appreciate you all so much! 🐾💕

Just a reminder that our FIRST-EVER Trunk-or-Treat is coming up on Halloween! 🧡

Join us right here at KVHS on Saturday, October 31st, from 5–7 PM for a night of costumes, candy, and Halloween fun! 🍬 Our staff and volunteers will be dressed up and ready to hand out treats!

Special guests Kathi from Wilderness Miracles Wildlife Rehab will be joining us with Ziggy the Opossum!

Leashed dogs are welcome to join in the fun, too! Cat litter donations are appreciated but absolutely not expected.

We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween with our community! Grab your costumes, bring the family, and come see us for a spooktacular evening! 🎃

We hope to see you there! 👻

YOU SHOWED UP FOR US, AND WE ARE SO GRATEFUL! 💙

Your donations are starting to come in, and we are SO thankful! 🥹 You all truly showed up for us when we needed you most, and we can’t thank you enough.

With so many animals in our care, keeping up with supplies is a big job. Thanks to your generosity, we can take a breath and worry a little less about having the essentials we need for the next few weeks. That is such a blessing for our team and the animals who depend on us! 🐾

To everyone who donated supplies, shared our post, or helped spread the word about our needs, THANK YOU! Every single bit of support makes a difference, and we are so lucky to have such an incredible community behind us.

If you want to help, our biggest needs are still cat litter, dry & wet kitten food, dry & wet adult cat food and laundry soap!

💕 Let’s support TWO causes at once! 💕🎀

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, stop in and try our Candy Pink Passion Fruit Martini! 🍸

💗 We’ll donate $1 from every martini to the New England Breast Cancer Alliance.

And there’s more! 🐾 Since it’s made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, $1 from every Tito’s drink sold will also be donated to the Kennebec Humane Society.

Sip something delicious while giving back to two amazing causes! 💗🐶
