Maine has worked diligently over the past 10 years to increase wages and create better working conditions for "Essential Support & Care Workers." While we're thrilled to be recognized as 4th in the nation, we have so much farther to go before workers are fully valued for the incredible work they do, and we have a sufficient workforce to meet demand. Thanks to PHI - Quality Care Through Quality Jobs, we have the support we need to continue to make progress.

"Cobo-Lewis said Gov. Janet Mills’ administration has spoken about wanting to reform services for adults with disabilities. However, in the meantime, he said it’s not fair “for people with disabilities to be stranded on waitlists for an extended period of time.”
