Last week marked 1 year since the launch of Atlanta Legal Aid’s Community Partner Portal!

Atlanta Legal Aid’s Community Partner Portal launch last September to provide organizations working to support our communities with the legal resources they need.

The Community Partner Portal is a one-stop place where organizations can:

✍️ Submit outreach requests directly to our team
📅 Find up-to-date information on Atlanta Legal Aid’s clinics and community events
🙋🏽Ask questions about legal issues impacting your community with LAVA (Legal Aid Virtual Assistant)

Happy 1st Birthday to LAVA! 🌋

Atlanta Legal Aid is proud to recognize the first anniversary of LAVA (Legal Aid Virtual Assistant), a chatbot designed to provide reliable legal information to our community. Created in partnership with LawDroid and funded by a grant from the Legal Services Corporation, LAVA is here to make navigating civil legal issues in Georgia easier than ever.

What can LAVA do?
* Answer questions on legal topics like eviction, custody, or public benefits
* Chat in English and Spanish
* Provide voice-to-text and text-to-voice options

At Atlanta Legal Aid, we are committed to making reliable legal information accessible to everyone.

Over the past year, LAVA has had over 14,000 conversations with users, providing legal information and resources sourced directly from Georgia’s LawHelp website, GeorgiaLegalAid.org.
