Thank you to the donors who joined us for last week’s book club discussion of There Is No Place for Us. It was an engaging hour of conversation and reflection on one of our region’s most pressing challenges—and the work underway to ensure more people across Atlanta have a safe, affordable place to call home.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and brought their perspectives to this important conversation, and we look forward to engaging donors in future issue briefings.

On , we’re celebrating the creativity and connection that nonprofits bring to our region every day.

For 15 years, Soul Food Cypher has created spaces where Atlanta’s hip hop community can come together, be heard and build belonging. This summer, through our AI Opportunity Accelerator, the organization explored how technology can help that sense of community extend beyond the cypher.

From developing a new app that keeps participants connected between events to experimenting with AI-powered tools for emerging emcees, Soul Food Cypher is showing what’s possible when nonprofits use technology in service of their mission, not in place of human connection.

This , read how Soul Food Cypher is pairing innovation with the power of community to strengthen its impact for the next generation.

This summer, through the Partnership for Innovation (PIN) Summer Internship Program, Mahlangu Nzunda partnered with to help bring a new AI-powered mobile app to life.

Working alongside the organization's team, Mahlangu helped develop a tool that makes it easier for students to navigate scholarships, financial aid, and college planning, while giving advisors more time to provide the personalized guidance students need most.

By pairing talented interns with nonprofits who completed CFGA's Google-sponsored AI Opportunity Accelerator, we are helping organizations build lasting AI capacity that will continue creating impact long after the internship ends.

By supporting AI implementation, Rayna's work is helping ensure the organization's AI resources benefit staff and the communities they serve well into the future.

Through partnerships like this, we are helping nonprofits that graduated from CFGA’s Google-sponsored AI Opportunity Accelerator responsibly adopt AI and expand their impact across metro Atlanta.
