(LAI) was founded by volunteers in 1968.LAI provides free classes to adults who want to learn to read, write and improve their basic skills so they can build better lives for themselves and their families.

As you know, LAI has been dedicated to addressing the crucial need for adult literacy services within the greater Atlanta community. After serving the Atlanta community for over 50 years, the decision to close LAI has not been an easy one.

Congratulations to our OATS graduates! Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) is a program, with AARP, centered around teaching adults 50+ how to function online. It ranges from teaching them how to use a computer or tablet to paying bills online, shopping, online safety, and more. We are offering the Chrome Essentials course, which teaches them all about Chrome OS, Google, and how to navigate the web.
