Shaykhislam is an 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 from Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan, and a KECTIL 2024 alumnus. He works on international projects and grant development and serves on the European Union Youth Sounding Board in Uzbekistan.
His work connects youth leadership, digital innovation, entrepreneurship, and climate resilience, particularly in communities affected by the Aral Sea crisis. Through FundingPro and his advisory work, he has contributed to mobilizing more than 𝗨𝗦𝗗 𝟭.𝟱 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Shaykhislam has also led the EcoCase Map initiative and was a finalist in both the World Water Challenge 2025 and the Black Sea Eco Innovation Challenge 2026.
His work reflects his belief that sustainable impact comes from connecting local knowledge, technical expertise, and resources across borders. His journey demonstrates how young leaders can bring together innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration to address complex environmental and community challenges.

He holds a 𝗕𝗦𝗰 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 with a Professional Minor in Medical Laboratory Technology from the University of Buea and is currently pursuing an 𝗠𝗦𝗰 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆.
His professional and research interests include 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵. As a volunteer with Make Them Smile Foundation, he contributes to community health initiatives focused on health education, disease prevention, screening, and community outreach.

Jacob is a 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗴𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 and a Bachelor of Pharmacy student at United States International University-Africa, as well as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. He is a climate and education advocate and social innovator working to advance health equity, digital inclusion, peacebuilding, and opportunities for refugees and marginalized communities.
He is the Founder and CEO of Konybaai Education Initiative, a refugee-led organization expanding educational opportunities through scholarships, mentorship, learning resources, and digital literacy. He is also a Co-founder of HerHealth Horizon, supporting teenage girls and young mothers through menstrual health education and advocacy.
Jacob's work has received international recognition, including being named among the Top 100 of more than 9,700 applicants in the 2026 Moonshot Awards. He has also participated in the Fourth International Environmental Peacebuilding Association Conference in Canada.
A KECTIL alumnus, Amahoro Fellow, YALI and UNITAR participant, and former President of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Council at USIU-Africa, Jacob continues to demonstrate how lived experience can inspire community-led solutions and meaningful impact.

Ritha is a 𝗥𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 and the founder of 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗨𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘀, an initiative producing handcrafted wooden kitchenware as a sustainable alternative to plastic.
Through her work, Ritha promotes responsible consumption, environmental sustainability, and skills development. She has trained more than 150 young people in woodworking and produced over 1,000 wooden kitchen items, helping replace plastic use across households and businesses.
A passionate career coach, Ritha also has a background in Business Operations and Logistics and is pursuing an MBA. She is an Amahoro Coalition Fellow, Cohort 4, and a recipient of the USD 10,000 QS Social Responsibility Scholarship.
Her journey demonstrates how entrepreneurship can be used to address environmental challenges while creating opportunities for young people and communities.

Pranitha is the founder of an 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆-𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 in India and holds a Master's degree in Public Policy. Her professional journey has also included experience in electronics and manufacturing.
She is a BeVisioneers Fellow and UNESCO MGIEP Youth Fellow (2026), with interests and experience spanning sustainable development, science and technology policy, and marine conservation.
As a KECTIL alumna since 2023, Pranitha's leadership journey reflects her belief in listening, bringing diverse knowledge together, and working alongside communities. She believes that durable solutions are built with communities rather than designed for them.
Her thoughtful contribution to the essay competition reflects the importance of community-led approaches, diverse perspectives, and young people taking an active role in creating sustainable solutions.
