Help Send Two Brothers on Their First Ziyarat

In September, the 2nd Chance Books team will take two of our program participants on a blessed journey to Iraq. Neither brother has ever had the opportunity to visit the holy shrines of the Ahlulbayt (ع).

They will be accompanied and guided throughout the journey by two scholars from the 2nd Chance Books team.

Alhamdulillah, a large portion of the necessary funding has already been raised. We are now seeking $2,705 to cover the remaining expenses for both brothers:

• International flight: $1,225
• Domestic flights from North Carolina to Atlanta: $250
• Visas for both brothers: $330 ($165 each)
• Hotel in Kadhimayn: $300
• Hotel in Najaf: $300
• Transportation to the holy sites: $300

Their accommodations in Karbala are being generously sponsored by Fotros Hotel.

This is a wonderful opportunity to help two brothers visit the holy shrines of the Ahlulbayt (ع) for the first time. Any contribution, large or small, will help make this blessed and potentially life-changing journey possible. You may also sponsor one of the expenses listed above.

Prison is designed to isolate—but the remembrance of Allah and the Ahlulbayt (ع) creates a connection that no prison wall can break.

At 2nd Chance Books, we do more than send books. We remind incarcerated Muslims that they are not forgotten, that their faith still matters, and that the mercy of Allah can reach them wherever they are.

Just as Prophet Yusuf (ع) remained connected to Allah in the darkness of prison, we pray that every book, lesson, and letter brings light, guidance, and tranquility to those behind bars.
