Long-term recovery means standing beside communities long after the initial crisis fades.

Through Islamic Relief USA’s Long-Term Recovery Project in western North Carolina, we are supporting the rebuilding of critical community infrastructure following Hurricane Helene.

In partnership with Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) and National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (National VOAD), this first phase focuses on rebuilding a vital bridge in Bat Cave, outside Asheville, North Carolina.

Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and donor putting their faith into action to help communities recover, rebuild, and move forward with resilience.

Friday is already the best day of the week, but falling within Rabi al-Awwal, it feels even sweeter. Today is the perfect opportunity to send extra Salawat (blessings) upon the Prophet ﷺ and make sincere du’a for the ummah.

Rabi al-Awwal is a blessed month in which our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was born and completed his Hijrah to Madinah.

From fasting on Mondays and sending Salawat, to feeding families experiencing hunger and caring for orphans, these daily acts bring barakah into our lives.

Some of the most meaningful things we can ask Allah (SWT) for are guidance, strength, a clear heart, and continuous improvement in our character so we can draw closer to Him, become better neighbors, and grow in good ways.

May Allah (SWT) grant us the ability to become the best versions of ourselves: caring, consistently compassionate, and always there to assist our brothers and sisters in need.
