Haiti made history in 1804 by becoming the first independent Black republic in the world and the first nation in the Western Hemisphere to permanently abolish slavery.

Its history is rooted in courage, resilience, and the fight for freedom, values that continue to inspire generations today.

What began as a desperate call for help in 2005 became a mission dedicated to changing the lives of vulnerable children in Haiti.

Moved by the urgent needs in Mirebalais, Reverend Joseph Constant founded the Haiti Micah Project to provide children with safety, care, education, and hope for a brighter future.

In 2009, the SAES Home was established as a safe haven for children facing unimaginable hardships. Since then, it has continued to be a place where children are nurtured, supported, and encouraged to grow beyond their circumstances.

Through compassionate caregivers, education opportunities, mentorship, and community support, children are given the chance to heal, dream, and build futures filled with possibility.

Every story of resilience and success is made possible by people who choose to care. Together, we can continue creating lasting change in the lives of Haiti’s children—one child, one future, and one act of hope at a time.

At Haiti Micah Project, we believe every child deserves more than survival, they deserve the chance to learn, grow, dream, and build a brighter future. Through education, care, mentorship, and safe environments, we help children discover hope beyond their circumstances.

Every life transformed begins with someone willing to care. Together, we can continue creating opportunities that empower children, strengthen communities, and change futures for generations to come.

For many vulnerable children in Haiti, poverty steals more than opportunity, it steals childhood itself. Trapped in cycles of exploitation and hardship, countless children are forced to work long hours instead of attending school, growing, and simply being children.

Without access to education, support, and protection, the cycle of poverty continues from one generation to the next.

Every child deserves dignity, safety, and the chance to build a brighter future. By supporting programs that provide care, education, and opportunity, we can help break these cycles and restore hope to children who need it most.

For children living in extreme poverty, survival is a daily struggle. Hunger, unsafe living conditions, limited access to clean water, healthcare, and education create overwhelming challenges that no child should have to endure.

Without support, many children remain trapped in a cycle of hardship with little opportunity to change their future.

But hope is possible. Through compassion, care, and community support, lives can be transformed. Every child deserves safety, opportunity, and the chance to dream beyond their circumstances. Together, we can help create a future filled with dignity, stability, and hope.

Dagene Wislande’s journey is a powerful example of resilience, determination, and the life-changing impact of support and opportunity.

After spending 13 years with the Haiti Micah Project, Dagene completed her elementary and secondary education at St. Pierre School in Mirebalais and is now in her 3rd year of nursing school in Pignon, Haiti, pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse.

Through every challenge, she continued to move forward with courage and hope, supported by the care, guidance, and encouragement of the Haiti Micah Project team. Today, she stands as a strong and inspiring young woman, determined to use her education to make a difference in the lives of others.

Stories like Dagene’s remind us that when children are given support, stability, and opportunity, they can rise beyond their circumstances and create brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

Safe, stable spaces are the foundation for growth, learning, and hope.

Your support helps us build and improve facilities where children can learn, feel secure, and thrive every day.

These aren’t just buildings, they are places where futures are shaped, potential is nurtured, and lives are transformed.

Together, we can create environments that give every child the chance to grow with dignity, safety, and opportunity.

What started as a call for help in 2005 became a mission to change lives. Through the Haiti Micah Project, children in Mirebalais have received not just food and shelter, but safety, care, and the opportunity to grow beyond their circumstances.

From a small feeding program to the creation of SAES Home, this work has become a lifeline for the most vulnerable.

Today, children are nurtured, educated, and supported by a team that believes in their future. But the need remains urgent.

Your support helps provide stability, restore hope, and create lasting change - one child at a time.

Emmanuel Joseph’s journey is a powerful reminder of what hope, faith, and opportunity can accomplish.

Arriving at the SAES Home at just 9 years old, he remained committed to his education and future despite the challenges he faced. Through hard work and determination, Emmanuel completed high school, earned his degree in Business Administration, and graduated this past December.

Today, he looks ahead with purpose—ready to continue his studies and use his knowledge to make a positive impact wherever life leads him.

We are incredibly proud of his resilience, dedication, and the inspiring example he sets for others.

In the face of extreme poverty, Haiti Micah stands as a source of hope for children who need it most.

Through consistent care, nourishment, and support, we do more than meet basic needs, we create pathways for transformation.

Every meal, every opportunity, and every act of compassion helps break barriers and ignite the potential within each child.

Together, we’re building a future where poverty does not define a child’s story, but resilience, dignity, and possibility do.
