Knowledge and skills can create opportunities for employment, greater independence, and the ability to contribute to families and communities.

Educated young people can also become mentors and examples for the children growing up around them.

That is why education is such an important part of creating long-term change.

One student given an opportunity today may become the person who creates opportunities for many others tomorrow.

A graduation photo captures one moment, but behind that moment is an entire journey.

There are years of studying, overcoming setbacks, adapting to difficult circumstances, and choosing to keep moving forward.

There are also caregivers, educators, supporters, prayer partners, and donors who helped make that journey possible.

When one of our young people reaches a new milestone, we celebrate more than an achievement. We celebrate their perseverance and everyone who helped create an opportunity for them to succeed.

We’ve had the privilege of watching young people grow from children with uncertain futures into students pursuing meaningful careers.

Some have continued their education in nursing. Others have pursued business and other professional paths.

Every milestone represents years of perseverance, encouragement, education, and support.

These journeys remind us why investing in a child’s future matters. The goal isn’t simply to help a child through today. It is to help give them the foundation they need to eventually step confidently into tomorrow.

Haitian Creole, or Kreyòl Ayisyen, is one of Haiti’s two official languages and is spoken throughout the country.

But language is about much more than communication. It carries stories, traditions, humor, history, and a shared sense of identity from one generation to the next.

Learning about Haiti also means celebrating the culture and people behind the mission we serve.

Haiti has faced extraordinary hardship, but hardship is only one part of its story. Its language, traditions, creativity, faith, and people are equally important parts of understanding this remarkable country.

Haiti’s history is one of extraordinary courage and determination.

On January 1, 1804, Haiti declared its independence after a successful revolution, becoming the world’s first independent Black republic.

That spirit of resilience remains an important part of Haiti’s identity today. While the country continues to face tremendous challenges, its history reminds us that Haiti is so much more than hardship.

It is a nation with a powerful story, a rich culture, and generations of people determined to create a better future.
