The 70th anniversary of ATCA’s founding is next March and we are celebrating by doing what we love to do best: Hosting ATCA Connect, North America’s leading aviation safety event for air traffic management professionals. We want you to join us! Registration is now open. Enjoy “early bird” rates until Dec. 20.

We will be meeting in Charleston, S.C., bringing together industry with leaders from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Department of War (DOW). We’ll navigate the future of aviation with meaningful dialogue, relationship-building, and networking.

We could give you 70 reasons why you should come to fabulous Charleston, one of America’s most historic and charming cities, but here’s our top five:

✈️ It’s in a unique position as a hub for civil and military aviation;
✈️ It continues ATCA’s tradition of hosting events around the country to engage a broader cross-section of the FAA and industry;
✈️ It gives us a focused, collaborative setting away from the noise and distractions in Washington;
✈️ It is a wonderland for foodies! In fact, the end of ATCA Connect overlaps with the start of the world-famous, five-day Charleston Wine + Food festival celebrating the region’s rich food culture;
✈️ It figures to be warmer and sunnier than Washington the first week of March!

Another exciting day of ATCA advocacy work yesterday! Members of the ATCA Leadership Council had productive meetings on Capitol Hill with key aviation leaders in both the House and Senate, advocating for critical investments in air traffic control infrastructure and the rapid modernization of our National Airspace System.

Our discussions focused on:

• ATCA members' support for the BNATCS plan

• The critical need for significant additional funding to successfully implement the modernized U.S. Air Traffic Control system beyond regular appropriations

• Establishing clear measures across three key areas: Program Portfolio Metrics, Modernization Metrics, and Transformational metrics

We emphasized that successful implementation of the modernized system requires sustained investment and comprehensive measurement frameworks to ensure accountability and track progress effectively.

As the voice of the ATM industry, ATCA's 100+ member companies are ready to support the FAA and Congress in delivering the world-class air traffic management system our nation deserves.

Thank you to our Leadership Council members and the Congressional aviation leaders who took time to meet with us. Together, we can ensure safe, efficient skies for the future!

Supporting Future Aviation Leaders:
Leidos Helps Expand ATCA’s Scholarship Program

Alexandria, Va. –ATCA is proud to announce that LeidosLeidos (NYSE: LDOS) has become the premier benefactor of the ATCA Scholarship Fund. As part of this donation, ATCA is also launching a new scholarship: the ATCA/Leidos Scholarship for Aviation Innovation–bringing the total number of ATCA-administered scholarships to five.

Leidos has committed $75,000 over the next three years to support the ATCA Scholarship Fund, including the new ATCA/Leidos award. The scholarship will recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for advancing the future of aviation.

“We thank Leidos for their support in advancing the future of aviation,” said Stephen Creamer, ATCA President & CEO. “Part of ATCA’s mission is to provide education opportunities for our members and their families. This contribution to the ATCA Scholarship Program will allow more students to enter the aviation field to help close the gap of unfilled jobs across the aviation industry.”

The ATCA Scholarship program was established in 1983, awarding its first scholarship to a single recipient. Since then, and thanks to the generous support of donors and partners, ATCA has awarded nearly $1.5 million to students pursuing degrees related to air traffic control and aviation. Annual scholarship awards range from $5,000 to $15,000 per student.

“Leidos is proud to support ATCA’s Scholarship Fund with this three-year commitment to help develop the next generation of air traffic management professionals,” said Liz Porter, Leidos Health & Civil Sector president. “This contribution reflects our dedication to strengthening the aviation workforce and supporting students who will lead the future of flight.”
