The power of place is undeniable. The proof is in the impact.
On September 17 in Washington, D.C., the National Coalition of Black Meeting Professionals will convene an important conversation at the State of Black Tourism around the economic power of tourism, the influence of cities, and the leadership required to turn opportunity into measurable impact.
The Power of Place. The Proof of Impact. brings together leaders who understand that tourism is more than visitation. It is an economic development strategy that creates jobs, strengthens communities, drives investment, and shapes the future of our cities.
Hosted by NCBMP, and the African American Mayors Association, the conversation will feature insights from Adam Sacks, President of Tourism Economics, and a distinguished group of municipal and industry leaders:
Hon. Van R. Johnson, II, SPHR, SHRM-CP, IPMA-CP, Mayor of Savannah
Hon. Brandon M. Scott, Mayor of Baltimore
Hon. Quinton Lucas, Mayor of Kansas City
Sheila Neal, CASE, Associate Vice President, Strategic Alliances, Visit Detroit
