The Vision Council is proud to share a major milestone in the optical industry: the National Academy of Opticianry (NAO) Fellow Members and the United Opticians Association (UOA) Board of Directors have officially voted to authorize the next formal steps toward a strategic merger!

This decision marks a coordinated commitment to advancing industry due diligence and planning, bringing together two powerhouses in opticianry education.

We applaud the leadership at NAO and UOA for their dedication to building a sustainable, well-planned future that elevates eye care professionals and the communities they serve.
