🔧 Sunday 8/23 Volunteer Day: Regenerative Lab Build Out

Help us build the next generation of REAP's Regenerative Labs! This Sunday, we'll be refurbishing metal shelving by sanding, cleaning, and restoring it for use in our hands-on learning spaces. It's a great opportunity to learn basic metalworking and fabrication skills while helping create the infrastructure that supports workshops, experiments, and climate education on campus.

We'll work together from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM, then gather for a bring-your-own lunch as usual at 1:00 PM. Whether you're experienced with tools or trying metalwork for the first time, we'd love to have you join us!

We're running back this practical and fascinating workshop for this Wednesday's potluck activity.

🌱 Join us at REAP for a Compost Extract Demo!

Healthy soil starts with healthy microbes! You'll learn how to make compost extract—a simple, affordable way to boost soil biology and support healthier plants.

We'll explore the fascinating world of beneficial microorganisms, how compost extract differs from compost tea, and how you can make and use it in your own garden. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just curious about what's happening beneath our feet, you'll leave with practical knowledge you can put to use right away.

Come early for our community potluck, then stay for an evening of learning, conversation, and discovering the hidden life that makes healthy ecosystems thrive.

After the film, we'll gather around the fire for a community conversation about fungi, soil health, ecological restoration, climate resilience, and how these ideas connect to REAP's work.

🍄 Interested in mushrooms? We're also dreaming about the future of REAP's Fungi Hut Guild and looking for community members who'd like to help build a space for learning, cultivation, experimentation, and hands-on projects. Come share your ideas!
