AirCraft Casualty Emotional Support Services (ACCESS) ACCESS is a national non-profit organization. The book will be launched over the 9/11 anniversary.

It is the only organization dedicated to partnering those who have survived or lost loved ones in air disasters with Volunteer Grief Mentors who have experienced similar losses in years past. h we are hosting on Friday September 9th! This is a particularly important year for ACCESS as it marks the 15-year anniversary of TWA 800, the 10-year anniversary of 9/11, the 15-year anniversary of the founding of our organization, and the launch of the charity's first book, Surviving Sudden Loss: Stories from those who have lived it, which contains personal stories from those who have lost loved ones suddenly in air disasters, 9/11 and other tragic losses. I am hoping that your company might be willing to help support ACCESS' annual charity golf event which is just around the corner on Friday, September 9th by being a hole sponsor at the event. This year's event has some exciting new additions including:

Comedian Scott Henry from "King of Queens" and "Chelsey Lately",

Ashley Gomes from two of The Big Break's seasons including the Trump National season, Dan Boever,

Golf entertainer and the "King of Trick Shots" will be doing a golf show that is hilarious!
..and TIGER WOODS! From the Wax Museum ;)

The funding from the tournament enables ACCESS to train their Volunteer Grief Mentors and provide its free services to the bereaved who need the organization's help. The event is a lot of fun and a great client development opportunity to promote your company to the population you serve. It would be such an honor to have you be a sponsor and help to support ACCESS in this critical year for the charity. Even if you don't golf, hole sponsorship is a wonderful way to support ACCESS. You can send a team of clients to play in the tournament or you can join us for the fun evening of cocktails, dinner and silent/live auction for only $100 per ticket! Go to www.accesshelp.org to register for the cocktails & dinner or to golf!

November 24th
Todd Morgan Beamer, 32 years old, Flight 93

Todd Morgan Beamer was born on November 24, 1968 to Peggy and David Beamer in Flint, MI. He was the second of three children, with an older sister, Melissa, and a younger sister, Michele. He grew up in Wheaton, IL, and lived in Cranbury, NJ, in adulthood. Todd attended and graduated from Wheaton Academy in 1987 and Wheaton College in 1991 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business. He met his sweetheart, Lisa Beamer, in a senior seminar class at Wheaton College. The pair had their first date on November 2, 1991, and were married on May 14, 1994. Todd and Lisa had two sons together, David, age 3, and Andrew, age 1 (at the time of Todd’s passing). They were also expecting a new addition, a baby girl, Morgan, who was born on January 9, 2002. Todd was a dedicated and loving husband and father, and he was very excited for the upcoming birth of his daughter. He was also very dedicated to his Christian faith and taught Sunday school classes at Princeton Alliance Church with his wife Lisa for six years. He also worked in youth ministry and played on the church softball team. Todd loved sports, and his favorite teams were the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bulls, and the Chicago Bears. Todd worked as a software salesman for Oracle Corporation. In 2001, he earned a five-week getaway to Italy with his wife as a reward for being a top sales performer. They returned home on September 10th at 5:00 p.m. Todd considered leaving that night for his upcoming business, but instead decided to leave the following morning so he could spend time with his wife, Lisa. He scheduled his flight for the early morning of September 11th on United Airlines Flight 93.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, Todd boarded United Airlines Flight 93 to San Francisco. He was traveling to California on a one-day business trip. Sadly, he never arrived as Flight 93 was the fourth plane to be targeted and hijacked on September 11th. Upon the plane’s hijacking and takeover, several phone calls were made from the passengers and crew, where they learned of the other hijacked flights that had crashed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon. Todd attempted to make one of these phone calls on one of the Airfones but was routed to a customer-service representative, who rerouted him to GTE airplane supervisor, Lisa Jefferson. Throughout the hijacking and formation of plans, Todd relayed information to Lisa so that those on the ground could know of the situation. At one point in the call, Todd told Lisa, “We’re going down, we’re going down!” as the plane veered sharply south. It was during this time that the passengers and crew of Flight 93 began to form a plan to try to take back the plane to prevent another ground attack. Todd, along with Mark Bingham, Tom Burnett Jr., and Jeremy Glick, was one of the leaders of this passenger revolt. In an act of faith, Todd asked Lisa to recite the Lord’s prayer with him as the passengers and crew got ready to storm the cockpit. He told her, “If I don’t make it, please call my family and let them know how much I love them.” After this, Todd spoke to the other passengers and famously said, “Are you guys ready? Okay. Let’s roll.”, signaling for the takeover to begin. The brave passengers and crew began attacking the hijackers outside of the cockpit and fought to get to the ones inside. They were ultimately successful and were able to veer the plane off its intended course and save many lives in doing so, but in the fight for control, the hijackers crashed Flight 93 onto an open field in Somerset County, PA, claiming the lives of everyone on board, including Todd. Todd’s brave collection and leadership that day is forever honored, appreciated, and remembered, as is the amazing bravery and ultimate sacrifice of all the passengers and crew of Flight 93. Todd’s life, love, and legacy are never forgotten.

Happy heavenly birthday, WE WILL NEVER FORGET. ❤️🕊
