Happy Pride Month from Girls Inc. of the Island City!🏳️‍🌈✨

We believe every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, celebrated, and free to be exactly who they are.

This month, and every month, we are proud to stand with youth as they grow, lead, and shine in their own way.

Together, we are building a community where every young person feels seen, valued, and truly belongs.

Today is bittersweet as we say farewell to “Caroline Ford”, and celebrate her journey as an assistant director, teacher, facilitator, and alumna of Girls Inc. of the Island City.

Over the past five years, Caroline has helped create meaningful experiences for the youth we serve, bringing creativity, care, and compassion into every space she has touched.

As a teacher in our Girls Programs and facilitator for our “Best Foot Forward” program, Caroline has made a lasting impact on our community and on the young people she has supported. As a Girls Inc. Alumna and member of the first Eureka cohort at our site, her journey with Girls Inc. has truly come full circle.

We are deeply grateful for all that Caroline has brought to Girls Inc. of the Island City. Her impact will continue far beyond these walls, and we wish her all the best as she begins this exciting new professional chapter.

We are also celebrating Elizabeth Hane’s last day with our Girls Programs as a teacher. She has been an important part of our programs team, supporting our mission and helping create a welcoming environment for our girls and families.

We wish them both continued success and joy in their next chapters. Thank you, Caroline and Elizabeth. You will be missed! ❤️❤️
