We sincerely thank The Cathay YSS Distributors Company Inc. for being our constant partner in carrying out community relations projects for our coastal communities, foundations, and partner Coast Guard units.

We honor the dedication and bravery of our Coast Guardians who are always the first to respond and look after our fellowmen.

Last Tuesday, May 5, we have turned-over boxes of various maintenance medicines for our PCG partners and their loved ones and children.

The medicines include indications for gout, hypertension, chronic renal failure, asthma, bronchitis, arterial blockage, allergic rhinitis, skin infections, COPD, and enlarged prostate.

The donations also included self-help books (The Seafarerโ€™s Mind) written by German
maritime chaplain, Martin Otto. The book delves into the complex realities faced by those who work at sea and the harsh world in which they live where isolation, temptation, and moral compasses are challenged.

These donations were handed over to our partners from the Coast Guard Special Operations Force, Coast Guard Station Pampanga, Cgs Laguna, CGS Malacaรฑang, and Coast Guard Rizal

This may be a great help to our Coast Guard personnel whose working circumstance are similar to those who work on the high seas.

This simple gesture of compassion and gratitude to our frontliners is our way of giving back to those who serve and protect us.

Our warmest gratitude to our partners โ€” CYDC Philippines, Cathay YSS Distributors, and Rev. Martin Otto.

In 102nd, we don't just operate -- we also celebrate... our humble accomplishments, our learnings, our improvements, and most of all, we celebrate one another.

Because more than just being volunteers, we are also family and friends. Simple fellowships like this raise our members' sense of connection, belongingness, and purpose.

It strengthens our unity as a team and our bond as friends.

More importantly, it boosts our esprit de corps -- that feeling of pride, fellowship, and common loyalty shared among us as a Squadron.

The 102nd Squadron is honored to be part of the Coast Guard Auxiliary District National Capital-Region Central Luzon (CGADNCR-CL) Training Summit.

The two-day rigorous seminar, workshop, and training strengthened the leadership values, operational excellence, and capability enhancement of CGADNCR-CL leaders and operatives.

The 102nd Squadron officers weren't just trainees for this massive training event -- our members were also part of the organizing committee and training team.

AUX COMMO EMMANUEL T VELANTE PCGA, a philosopher and theologian by profession and this Squadron's Past Director, and AUX COMMO YASHIKA F TORIB PCGA, a maritime humanitarian ambassador and maritime journalist and the incumbent Squadron Director, were among the roster of educators for the Training Summit.

We are proud that some of our next generation of Squadron leaders have graduated from this training.

Slowly but surely, they are getting ready for the next level.

Bravo Zulu team!

As with CGADNCR-CL, we believe in the value of strong and wise leadership.

The 102nd Squadron shares the principle that skills, knowledge, and wisdom must be passed on wholly to the next generation to create leaders who are stronger, wiser, and better than their predecessors.

More than just operating alongside the PCG for Maritime Search and Rescue, Maritime Safety, Maritime Community Relations, and Marine Environmental Protection, we believe that the sustainability and longevity of an organization rests upon the shoulders of its members and leaders.
