The 102nd Squadron's ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฆ (๐๐๐), ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฉ๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ and ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฌ have joined forces last Satuday, May 2, to refresh and enhance their skills on urban and water rescue.
With the Squadron's Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) supplies and rescue equipment already pre-positioned in strategic posts within its Areas of Responsibility (AOR), Squadron leaders have now focused their attention on Capability Enhancement and Operational Readiness of its QRT.
Through the supervision of its QRT Director, AUX1 Ryan Rae R Magdaraog PCGA, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, AUX LT MIKHAEL ANJELO S TIVIDAD PCGA, and Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, AUX LTJG ALEXANDER L SARTORIO JR PCGA, under the guidance of Director Auxiliary Squadron (DAS), ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐
๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, a full day of refresher trainings and lectures was given to our QRT members, mostly comprised by our Auxiliarists in Marikina.
It included Introduction to the concepts of Incident Command System (ICS), Introduction to Risk Assessment and Management, Basic Life Support (BLS) Refresher, Knot Tying, Triage System, Victim Carry, and Drowning Recovery.
The trainings were ably handled by experienced rescuers from the Squadron - AUX CDR NEIL BRYANT C SIY PCGA, Deputy Director Auxiliary Squadron (DDAS); AUX COMMO EMMANUEL T VELANTE PCGA, Past DAS; AUX1 Ryan Rae R Magdaraog PCGA, AUX LT MIKHAEL ANJELO S TIVIDAD PCGA, AUX LTJG ALEXANDER L SARTORIO JR PCGA; and AUX ENS JOHN PAUL F ESCARES PCGA. They were also assisted by AUX CDR PRINCESS ERICKA TEMPLO PCGA, a registered nurse.
The 102nd Squadron's QRT Trianing was graced by the presence of ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, Director Auxiliary District, CGADNCRCL; and ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐, Director, Disaster Response Group, CGADNCR-CL, both of whom lauded the proactive efforts of the Squadron to enhance the skills of its personnel to better carry out its mission alongside the Philippine Coast Guard.
