As we celebrate the 128th Philippine Independence Day, the Knights of Rizal family shares a powerful message of reflection, unity, and hope from our Supreme Commander, Sir Emmanuel F. Calairo, KGCR.
True freedom is not static. While we no longer face foreign colonizers on the battlefield, our modern struggles lie in fighting poverty, ignorance, apathy, and disinformation.
On this historic day, let us remember:
1. We look back with profound reverence at the sacrifices of our heroes, the bravery of the Katipuneros, and the sublime martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal. Our past anchors our moral courage.
2. Freedom is inseparable from responsibility. It is the power to do what is right, to uplift the marginalized, and to practice "everyday heroism" by shedding our egos for the common good.
3. We bear a sacred obligation to the next generation. We must build a digital, progressive, and inclusive future that is anchored in integrity and an unwavering love for the motherland.
Let us not wait for a crisis to show our love for the Philippines. Let patriotism be a quiet, consistent flame that illuminates our offices, our schools, and our homes. Non omnis moriar!
