That sounds like a contradiction, but when it comes to rabies, it's the simple truth. Once symptoms appear, rabies is virtually always fatal. However, if treated immediately after an exposure via Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), it is almost entirely preventable. βœ‹

Today is World Rabies Day, a vital reminder that we have the power to eliminate this disease. Protecting our community starts with protecting our animals. By keeping our pets vaccinated, we create a safe barrier for both the animals, and the humans who love them.

Yesterday, Doc Deng joined us at the CARA booth, where she provided free pet consultations and connected with pet parents and their beloved furbabies. She was also joined by her partner, Belle Rodolfo, who helped represent CARA and keep the booth running throughout the event. ❀️

It was Doc Deng’s first time at the World Pet Expo, and seeing so many people come with their pets was a wonderful reminder of the special place animals hold in our families and our lives.

She was especially happy to see so many aspins and puspins dressed up, pampered, and proudly loved, because they deserve that same love and care, too.

This is what makes opportunities like the World Pet Expo so meaningful for CARA. We get to put the spotlight on our country’s precious aspins and puspins, promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, and hopefully help more of our adoptable animals find loving homes. 🐢🐱❀️

A big thank you to Doc Deng, Belle, and all our CARA volunteers who helped make the event a success. From manning the booth to assisting our visitors, your time and effort made the day possible.

Earlier, Mica Silverio took the WPE Main Stage to talk about responsible pet ownership, adoption, and CNVR.

And we’re not done yet! 🩺 Bring your furbabies to the CARA booth from 1 PM to 4 PM for Doc Keith’s 1-Day FREE Consultation Clinic!

Pets referred during the consultation may also avail of discounted CARA clinic rates for recommended services.

Sometimes, being a hero starts by simply choosing not to look away, checking under your car before driving off, speaking up when an animal is in distress, or giving a gentle hello to a stray seeking shade.

True welfare begins with everyday empathy. You don’t need extraordinary power to protect them, just a heart willing to care.

It was a privilege to be invited by the Pasay City Veterinary Office last Sep 19 headed by Dr Ronn Bernasor to support their initiative on responsible pet ownership and community animal welfare.

Angelo Caputolan, one of our CNVR Team Leaders was one of the speakers, with members of CARA CNVR Team also in attendance to show our suport for the Pasay City Vet’s initiative.

The event also brought together PAWS and GACR who also shared their knowledge and experiences as speakers.
